A lot of mothers are like Martell's mom, its so sad. People fail to realize it all starts in the home. How a man is taught and raised has a big impact on how he will be in society, treat women, etc. But at the end of the day, grown people know right from wrong. So, whether we are taught or not, take the initiative to get counseling or whatever help is available to become a better person. Blaming people is not the answer, we have to look at ourselves first.

You have to start from small and as BLK mothers we do tend to be easier on our boys than girls. What we see here is his mother showing unconditional love to a fault. That’s where she’s wrong at. Infidelity does happen, and some couples do the work to heal and make their marriage better. However, if infidelity becomes a pattern going into years and a child is also produced out of the affair or affairs - the trust is completely broken and it will be very difficult to repair. When he asks why something from a year ago is still upsetting her says a lot. I’ve heard the phrase trust takes a lifetime to build and a moment to tear it down. She was in so much pain and trying hard to heal, but she couldn’t because he was still actively lying to her, manipulating her, and displaying narcissistic behavior. She couldn’t heal what he would barely even acknowledge happened. Such a sad situation, I pray he becomes a better man and that she finds peace and joy.

Sometimes there are men who actually do love their wives and they know what they need to do to keep their wife and the life that they have built. But they just don’t have the internal strength, self control, character and confidence within them to actually do the work. I think Martell is sincere in this clip. I believe he wanted to make it work and loved her. But didn’t have it in him to face the external pressures. I hate to see it and it’s sad. But She made the right choice by choosing herself. Now he needs to do the work to become a better, stronger and more confident man. It’s sad seeing a man destroy something that he actually wanted even though deep down he didn’t feel he deserved it. I've been binge watching. REWATCHING from season one. It's VERY VERY evidently that the Scotts and Wanda come from mud in the hood. Not accustomed to the finer things in life not financial stability. I said that to say, " They came with the wrong manipulative ghetto mentality concerning the Come Back Group" and they had intentions to move the entire Scott family on that 47 acres but Mel is a smart beautiful intelligent savvy business woman and her God given discernment allowed her to see through all of the bull crap, the dishonesty, and attempted manipulation and deception and pulled out of the Come Back Group." This is why they are so pissed and hate Mel!!! They couldn't get over on her. Mel ruined their plans!! Mel is Holistically beautiful ❤️❤️
