Of all the teachers in BJJ, Roy Dean is the one I wish I could train with in person the most. His technique, the culture he creates in gyms and his students are all exemplars of how BJJ can do incredible things for your life. Thank you!

I think it's important to find the right teacher that fits your way of learning. For me that you Mr Dean! I always need to feel the move and lock it in that way and you seem to emphasize that. Wonderful seminar.

I am curious as to the significance of the black stripes on your red bar, as opposed to the traditional or common white stripes? Is there a reason, or just different? Thank you for these educational videos.

Hey Roy, i was thinking when seeing the elevator sweep position if it would be smart to initiate a scissor sweep to the other side first when he steps his leg out and insert your elevator hook after that. So he has to focus on not getting swept at first and while they are distracted, you already have your elevator hook in for the follow up. Did you ever play with this combo or is it complete stupidity?:-)
@roydean9 ай бұрын
Absolutely. It's especially good if he fully steps over your leg so your instep can go under his knee immediately.

Think trining with Professor Roy Dean is a mystique experience for a jiu jitseiro, a man mixed with a lethal constrictor anaconda and a zen monk, respect..the only thing i can say that i m not sure if all these fantastic drills can work in a combat situation with a 100% resisting oppent, expecially if he is a bigger and stronger oppenent, but of course my skills level is far away from reaching Mr. Dean's level, he can make everything work in his rollings
