It seems to me that if you shot in slightly wider lens, let's say 85mm or even 50mm, and you shot portrait mode instead of landscape, you probably have had better results. still without any distortion or the need for cropping so much.

I think you’re right. I wanted to throw some less than perfect or ideal photos at this just to see how it did and it handled these shockingly well from my perspective. Since publishing this video I’ve experimented further with this and confirmed wider angle photos are a breeze for this.

Adobe Lightroom does a good job with pan stitching as well.

Yes it does. However, I have found some scenarios where Lightroom fails but Luminar Neo succeeds.
