I was in Israel attending the Feast of Tabernacles 2023 when Israel declared war with the Hamas As soon as I got home (Fiji Islands) I started going through his teachings beginning from Leviticus then Numbers then Deuteronomy then Joshua and now Judges somewhere somehow upon deep searching why the war started, what should Israel do in order to end the war….similar incidents did happen to the Israelites when they disobey Yahweh

Terry just a few years ago there were a few different versions of the Bible available without verses - I myself bought a NIV one - Zondervan ISBN 978 0 310 40057 8. $24.99 USD for hard cover from Amazon.co.uk but they seem to have become less common - I note there are some second hand ones on ABEbooks.com

I was taught Ruth was written after the return from Exile because Ezra was so angry about Jews taking Gentiles as brides. Ruth was written to show there are many Gentiles in the lineage of David. Both explanations are good, but which one is true?

So later generations did not now what god did for them so they did what was right in their own eyes. This doesn’t make any sense. When the Jews were lead out of Egypt they virtually immediately rebelled and made a golden caf 😒

We Anglocise the names because we are English speaking. Using our concept of the Hebraic pronunciation does not make us "holier".
@chibuzor_4 жыл бұрын
He never said anything about Holiness. Names should remain as they are. You'd be surprised what your name sounds like in different languages.
@annettegaardlykke85714 жыл бұрын
@@chibuzor_ I've lived in 3 countries, and the one I currently reside in is not English speaking either. In each country they said my name in their language, with their pronunciation. I knew they were talking to me. It was not offensive in any way. I know he didn't relate it to holiness, but I just don't care for the concept that we need to use the Hebraic words when we are not Hebraic. If I lived in Israel I would learn their language, just as I've learnt the languages of the people in the countries I've lived in, and of course it would only be natural to use the Hebraic names. To expect English speakers to use Hebraic pronunciations when speaking to other English speakers seems rather pretentious. And no, I am not Anti-Semitic in any way, and am otherwise very, very appreciative of most of Mr. Pawson's teachings.
