The paradox of ignorance is a realization reserved for a great master after they have stepped beyond the pale of enlightenment. But what have they been ignorant of? And what should they actively ignore? In this episode of The Sacred Word, I will explain an important verse from the Ashtavakra Gita, a text one is ready to assimilate after enlightenment. The Ashtavakra Gita is for those to absorb oneself in the presence of the Ultimate Reality after awakening.

Without a doubt, at the height of knowledge, we realize that the accumulated knowledge must be discarded. Outwardly follow man, inwardly follow tao, sounds easy, but it takes a tremendous effort to discern false thoughts from true. It seems the scriptures of old, throughout so many cultures and belief systems are exactly as you describe, a stepping stone to reach beyond mind. I would surmise, humbly, that Astavkra and Avadhuta reiterate the truth so often because understanding that truth is a form of knowledge and insight that is known beyond mind. That which is known to the consciousness is unknown to mind and vice versa. This also speaks to the same paradox in a way. Hence something I say often, Don't go on the spiritual journey!! Only a rare few understand that and it's meaning ;) Absolutely I agree Jason, that once there is an understanding, there is no longer a need to written material, meditation techniques, breathing techniques, these are all also scaffolding, if you will. I'm very sure you've read many versions of the Tao Te Ching, over the years. I would love to ask you your thoughts on the opening sentence in the very first chapter, 'The Tao that can be named is not the eternal tao.' .... Like a bolt of lightning some years ago, it struck me that the entire Tao Te Ching was quite possibly summarized in the first sentence of the first chapter. I believe if one truly, truly grasps that meaning, the rest is unnecessary. Knowing that all further description within, is just to again, act as a bridge to form the deeper real understanding. How synonymous is that with Nisargadatta Maharaj's quote - "All that is conceivable and perceivable is unreal". Backed up with the venerable Sri Ramana Maharshi quote - "Only that which does not change is real." The warning of the spiritual journey is that it is the mind that leads us there out of a sense of lacking, hence why it is said that the first step in this case is a misstep. Tricky, tricky... A favorite quote from the great sage Kabir - "Seek the truth, or go lay in a ditch somewhere" hehe (love that). Seeking truth, with the rare guidance of those that walked before us. If that great truth can be experienced, just briefly, well.... What is all this talk bondage and liberation!? ;) much love my friend!

Being mindful of not mistaking the map for the territory and heavily identifying with the differentiation that the map shows us, yet understanding that the map is also a part of the All. There is definitely a point of paradox where abstractions start to recycle in different forms thus binding you in a mental loop. Only experiencing in real time takes you to something that is already there. This is such a great channel. And wow, that view in the background looks amazing!

Not related to the video but thought I'd ask: have you done a video on and/or experienced kundalini energy? Before I even knew what it was, I would feel the energy going up my spine while meditating on Brahman. Now every time I meditate I have the same experience (at varying strengths) and I wonder what your perspective on it is.

Your work is beautiful! It inspires me for my own content creation. There is a lot happening in the communities I'm in, sharing what is called Natural Law, hermetic principles and the ancient wisdom! Daoism, deism, animism etc. Would always be down to connect and share, as I've also revived the spiritualist abolitionists who were considered "anarchists", similarly titled by others like that of the old sages. I'd love to share psychological experiments and more info that's happening.. the ideas of daoism will grow inevitably, with the rise of all these ideas.

ThevBrahman reality makes you feel insane , because nobody else gets it. It’s you playing hide & seek with your Self on many different levels & stages. It’s simple but it freaks you out nonetheless because the old thought system doesn’t compute it and therefore makes you feel disoriented.

Jason, for the less scholarly @3:45 really provides subject matter expert support to having trust in our individual assessment of self and ego based delusion, regardless of our level of study and knowledge of those who have paved the way. You may have an audience that reads and understands references to scripture, but you also have an audience that leans to trust energy and instinct, and what we know to be altruistic karmic retribution. Thx for your videos.

Knowing the atman is like knowing drop of water and you are one with ocean. But god still decides if you stay in ocean, go to glacier and be still long time and flow again to purify someone like river ganga/Ramana Maharishi or you keep flowing as water cycle, evaporate fall as rainfall go to glacier or in field(infinite journeys possible).
@moonsod1113

You have taken that anology too far. Knowing Atman is to become Atman, as it is the transcendental realm. It is not a thing; it is everything. Enlightenment is when the individual becomes the universal. It is like cloud, a field of space that is infinite. God does nothing to the Atman. There is only ever one Atman, which is the One. It is unlimited and unconditined by anything in existence. It is beyond time and space and ever on its own level, the constant Witness. It only experiences itself. That one Being contracts through pure consciousness to become mind and personality; then, by meditation, like gas escaping (in a way), it expands again to become pure consciousness for a while, thus becoming omnipresent non-mind and non-definite, just a fild of beingness. But because the biology cannot maintain that level, it goes back to normal mind. But with enlightenment it permanently disidentifies with form and its function and its limitations. What was all-inside becomes both inside and outside. Then silent consciousness is everywhere. Bu there is also a lesser stage, which people call awakening, where the Jivatman wakes up to itself to realise it is formless and free and extremely alert, and this converts into immortality for itself as the formless unborn consciousness, whereas for the Atman there is Eternity. I have been through both states, but it is never what you think it is gong to be, not what anyone says it will be like, because in each stage there is a new state of Being which the mind cannot comprehend, even when it gets this and lives it.

Ever think about how words have power but themselves are just representations of reality, but the realities are independent of the words associated with them? For all these spiritual ideas you can have words from a hundred different languages, if you taught a child that a cloud was "tree" that association would stick... So our minds/consciousness is shaped strongly by words which associations we were taught, but any power those associations they bear are they not just abstractions of realities independent of language? Am i on too something or just going crazy here

Nonsense. The universe exists in the relative sense, but what doesn't exist is the notion of the universe separate from its own nature, Pure Consciousness, the Self, the Transcendental Absolute. To tap into and merge with the Self, no problem. Access "Mahamritunjaya mantra - Sacred Sounds Choir" Listen to it for 5 min per day for at least two weeks, and merge into The Self, Brahman..
