I had that problem with my XJS - my sons Xbox was locked in there ! Didn’t know where to drill the hole ? Got out a 1 1/2” paddle bit so I could have plenty of room ... worked fine and dad saved the day !

Oh, Jesse, Jesse, if only this worked on a 2005 XJ8. I locked my keys in trunk at Costco after loading the trunk with frozen shrimp, tubs of blue cheese, yogurt...you get the gist. 5:30 pm. Locksmith came out and attempted to take back seat out and gave up. Second locksmith wanted to use air bags between windshield and trunk. Said no. At 11:30 pm, a tow truck took the Jag and me home. Spent next day with every locksmith in town and not one could help, either with circumventing the lock or making a key. Had it towed to Jag dealership. It's now been there three days as they can't figure out what to do. I don't need to tell you how bad that car has to smell by now. Wish you and your magic drill were here in Kansas City :-)

You could find a video replacing the trunk latch n get a fkn look at where actuator is or fk it I mean there's a few ways to see where actuator is or fold down a fkn seat n pull cable that's in like 95 percent of cars its in case your a made man mafia style so pay attn you gangster fks should know of this release cable lmfao most even glo in the dark lmfao lord knows you need all thinking done for ya since you forgot how tf to process any problem smh sad to watch the industry becoming more n more full of forest gump shrimpers!!!!
