I play this household right now. Thornton was focusing on his career and Morgana got lonely and decided to leave. But after she left he realized that he needs her to be truly happy (I changed his character with the 20k life points) and he won her back. They remarried and made not one but 6(!) Kids and now they are close to becoming eldars and enjoy their last days together

Upon the baby growing into a child, he became ambitious and all, just like Thornton and they begun to get along *coughs* I also changed his traits, lol. I even made a short story, cause I found it cute.

I kinda sympathize for him, in my canon he does not want to have children because he is aware of the traits he has inherited and it his way of ending the cycle of abuse. However I have read his bio and says he is with Morgana because "is the proper thing to do" not because he really loves her. So let's say our boy still has some work to do lol.

I don't want kids, especially biological kids, for similar reasons. Feeling that way is completely understandable and not wanting kids is a valid choice, no matter what anyone tells you. Why we don't like Thornton is because it's implied he tricked Morgana in some way and didn't/doesn't care about her feelings on the subject. It's perfectly ok to not want or to not like kids, but this is something you HAVE to communicate with your partner before marriage because it's not considered the societal "default". It would be kinda like knowing you're gay and marrying a straight person anyway and not telling them about your sexuality. Nowadays, anyway, people doing it decades ago is a different story but you get my point.

this renovation series has inspired me to start making over the sims of sunset valley. i don't do anything too extra like make them look like ig baddies or anything, in fact a lot of the time all i change is the mouth curve because i hate when sims are smiling by default. most of my time is spent making the offspring of sims actually genetically accurate to their parents (like simis bachelor, for example)

From my save file, my main sim got knocked up by Hank Goddard and was left alone penniless with kids. Surprisingly, after Morgana divorced Thornton and left him for Christopher Steel, Thornton took a liking to my main sim despite her having three kids. They ended up having an extremely good marriage, Thorton and my main sim ended up having a kid of their own as well, and he ended up as a surprisingly good father despite his negative traits. One of my most memorable playthroughs. Also, Morgana ended up having like five kids with Cristopher Steel. 😭

I LOVE 🥰😍 Morgana Wolff!! In my games she usually became a lesbian with my SimSelf and had a large family and all her dreams come true. lol My favorite save of Sims 3 is the time I played out Morgana and Thornton's story. Thornton cheated on Morgana with Jamie Jolina (and like half a dozen other ladies in town). He basically populated the entire town with his offspring. I'm talking 34 kids, 126 grandkids and 46 great grandkids. Morgana was happily married with 6 kids and the perfect spouse. Thornton died a dancing fool (literally) with the worst possible reputation. I lost that save years ago and I am STILL not over it. I think I actually had a little more fun playing out his story than I did hers. Mostly cause I wanted to see how far I could take it. hehe

When you do your build tutorial, can you talk about how to do a stair landing? I see those in some of the pre-made houses in Starlight Shores where it’s one long staircase, then a shorter one leading to the 2nd floor. I can’t seem to figure it out 😭

Another great build! By the way, have you tried painting the ceilings? I know most of us will never see it in gameplay, but in the first person camera view it does look a little weird to see a plain white ceiling against the rest of the house. I found that a nice ceiling really adds to the atmosphere of my sim's houses.

I personally gave up on it after trying to match edges with plain central parts. Same with wall siding with and without vertical plank on the side. Something in this stuff makes edges of any kind look darker/greyer than what you take as base. And it stands out both in daylight and lamps

Oh! And when I make over sims in my game, I don't use all the fancy sliders that a lot of players use, because I don't like "perfect" looking sims. I mostly just give them new hair and make-up and some decent clothes. It's amazing how nice some of these sims look, once you fix their hair, make-up and clothing. That Emma Hatch - who I did put on a diet - is really cute. And Morgana and Thornton look a lot better after I changed out their clothing, hair and make-up. I do use some custom skins, but that's about it.

The sims 4 is more cartoony bright and light I however adore the grunge and gritty look of sims 3. Maybe I like my dirty cities EA! Maybe I like the rundown vibes I can do! Especially for Bridgeport. San Myshuno is just too... _clean_ Cities are anything but clean, especially in good ole US of A

When I play this family, Thornton is having an affair with that Jaime whatshername - the intern who lives by the Keatons. Morgana is her supervisor at work (I make her a trauma surgeon via Nraas) and she doesn't know that her "good friend" is having an affair with her husband. Geoff Landgraab is the boss of both ladies, and he does know. He was also madly in love with Morgana when they were in college. The whole unrequited love thing. But at the time she was swept off her feet by Thornton and thought he loved her as much as she loved him and wanted the whole "big family," house with a picket fence and the dog thing. In my game, Morgana was an only child of elderly parents, who were "old" money. She was also childhood friends with the Crumplebottom sisters, while Geoff was that poor kid, at college on a scholarship. Her family's money and status were the main reasons Thornton decided to marry her. That, and she fit the image that his parents deemed acceptable. Anyway, after she married Thornton, Geoff ended up with Nancy - who, BTW, disliked both the Crumplebottom girls and Morgana. Mostly because even though they also came from wealthy backgrounds people liked them because they were all really nice people. Unlike Nancy who was and still is a major B. The only married Geoff because she thought she was getting back at Morgana, who was still good friends with him. (Morgana was pretty clueless - still is - about guys and just thought Geoff was her good bud.) He still has a thing for her, although now that he's married, he doesn't act on. Unlike his wife, he has scruples. It makes for a lot of drama in my game - which I like.

oh that's interesting! geoffrey and morgana really are attracted to each other in game, and they are kind of stuck in similar sutuations with their job focused spouses who don't care much about them. i sometimes consider getting them together but i don't vibe with their age gap and the fact that geoffrey is morgana's boss. also he already has a kid and that's kinda complicated from the storytelling point of view, he is a family sim who wouldn't want to leave his son and nancy would never let malcolm go because he is her heir blah blah

I agree. For me ts3 is also the best looking game. But I have to say since it came out I alsways had the opportunity to play it on high graphics. When I was a young teen my friends and I kinda just met to play the sims and their games always looked AWEFUL! But it shouldnt be a problem for modern PCs to work with the higher settings. I always thought ts4 was too "clean" "colourful" and cartoony if that makes any sense 😅 Also: As a goth/alternative styled person I kow that navy blue is a weird colour and don't really go with anything than well... another navy blue 😂 I always use red, green or light blue to bring a little colour to my dark clothing style but navy blue is never an option! I own exact ONE dress that is navy blue and I wore it ONCE to a wedding because I wasn't allowed to wear black like I usually do 🙄

I don't have a problem with lots of bathrooms in a Sims 3 house. While I want the build to look good, the primary concern is functionality for the Sims. If the Sims don't have enough LRPs for Steel Bladder, or need to shower after exercising, or might get nauseous due to bad food or a pregnancy, I want at least one bathroom on every level. Particularly in a large build, having too many bathrooms is only a problem if they take space better used for other things. My big thing is making sure there's as short a path as practical from bed to shower to kitchen to fun to work. Even in a mansion, plan it so the stairs from the master bed/bath lead almost directly to the refrigerator, the tv/computer/fun and to the front door. This makes your Sim able to be more productive at work and leads to more money.
