That cake may be made in Japan but that is definitely a German cake. Baum = Tree, Kuchen=cake. It is made by building up layers and layers of thin cake making it look like the inside of a tree. 🌲 🍰 ❤ 🇩🇪

From Amazon's experiment it turned out their unmanned stores were actually quite manned- the ai wasn't accurate enough and most instances were sent through to employees watching the cameras from the comfort of their home! So it's possible this one isn't either.

I was thinking of that, too! That was quite a few years ago though, so I wonder if the technology got better, or if there is still a lot of human intervention in this version. The “AI-powered” claim on the front of the store is very vague. It could mean a lot of different things, including humans watching cameras with AI suggestions, or scales and sensors being double-checked by humans. Or maybe it’s 100% manual, but ChatGPT helped write some of the code, lol

Original Baumkuchen, yes, but this is Japanese Baumkuchen. You don't find these in Germany or Europe. Is Schnitzel German? Or Austrian? When it originated from Italy? It's all of them. In their regarding variations, like Jägerschnitzel is German, Wiener Schnitzel is Austrian, and the original is from Italy. What we see here is Japanese Baumkuchen.
