Most are democratic socialists like Bernie Sanders. Communism isn’t popular anymore because of how it has played out historically. They want democracy and capitalism but just to make the rich pay their fair share in taxes, have higher wages and protections for the working class, and have strong social protections to ensure people aren’t struggling to live day to day because of corruption within politics and capitalism. That’s what scares the politicians. If the working class started working with the left, the elite would no longer be able to control the system. Biden and co and other liberals aren’t leftists. 100% agree! But those of us who've found him, really need to share his new home here on KZbin with friends and on social media, so that more people can find him. There are still lots and lots of people who have no idea that he's created his own media company and is no longer required by contracts with the big media networks to hold back on certain topics or his honest opinions about the current state of our country. Many people don't know that Merit Street Media is an entire network with a daily program schedule, starting with Mornings On Merit Street at 8 AM, which is a great alternative to the morning cable news shows. The network's lineup of shows runs from 8 AM to 12 Midnight every day. And there are still some cable providers (Spectrum, Direct TV, etc.) who aren't carrying the Merit Street Media channel in all areas. I just requested that my cable provider add it to the lineup in my area, a little over a week ago.

As a History teacher, I spend a lot of time discussing media literacy and propaganda. I ask them to be critical of sources. I ask them to wait when a story comes out to attempt to avoid emotional reactions. I encourage them to think, think, and think. It's been very difficult, much like a trout swimming upstream. I was security at the downtown Apple store (entirely glass?). I smelled their breath and had hundreds all around me. Often they focused on me as I was dressed in the deep blue of my security employer. Most are what we used to call road warriors when I was a park ranger. Young or youngish, Physically dirty (leishmaniasis is common), immeadiately forming into thug groups in defensive attack, trail you when you leave their riots or gang controlled riot areas, they will come to your home. Poorly educated or uneducated. Petty criminals for the most part - smash and grab robberies, stealing anattended purses, beating up people where they can. Trannies are surprisingly present in sufficient numbers that one remarks it.

I work at a K-12 public school in the SF Bay Area. Staff were 'mandated' to attend 7 months of PDs (Professional Development sessions) based on DEI. We were NOT given any professional development sessions that would have helped actually teach in our environment. We were told that these sessions were 'safe spaces' for everyone but when I tried to object to points I was insulted by others. So, I kept my mouth shut.
