I watched both the trailer and the series. And as a jew I can relate to this plot. I am appalled how stifling ultra orthodox judasim is. But I want to point out to all who see this, that not all jews live this way we balance secular and religious rituals. But there are those who want to be sheltered because they fear the outside world will corrupt and tempt them .That is why they fear outsiders- which often comes across as prejudiced.- but it is fear not hate of the outside world that is their thinking. I hope that this will show that many religions have extreme levels and often it is the women who get oppressed by the restrictions. thanks for the post. I hope I explained to you what this is about.

Definitely check it out. It's a brilliant series. Great juxtaposition of images throughout the series. No black-and-white characterisation; they're all just trying to live life according to the best they can. Also, for me, it was very relatable (coming from similar, but a lot less oppressive circumstances). So yeah, really good! Loved it.
