I worked for a firearms importer back in the 1980's and if I remember correctly getting guns OUT of the country they're being purchased from is relatively simple. As long as you've got an export license and a letter of credit to pay for them they don't care where they're going. Getting them IN to this country is where the red tape comes into play. But, things may have changed since then, I'll admit it.
@willywodka
@willywodka Жыл бұрын
Within Europe it's fairly simple. I once imported a P210 (900€ only, loads of spare mags :D ) from the Netherlands to Germany. The local German firemarms licencing department sent me all paperworks pre-filled out, the Dutch agency did everythign via e-mail. In total maybe 3 e-mails back and forth, I did not even have to go to show it to any agency once I got. Super simple.

Postwar PPs and PPKs are quite cheap here in Germany, because nobody wants them. Hunters need bigger calibers for self defense and sport shooters usually buy a 9mm Luger gun and a .357 Magnum revolver or a .22 pistol. You have to be careful with your two slots on your license. Of course, you can get more but you have to have reasons, for example competition but most buy something different than those pocket pistols. That's why they are like 200€ more or less. Kinda sad that they are gone now but we import many classic muscle cars so I guess that makes it even :D

How are the laws in Germany?....is it getting harder to own
@hendrikg3616
@hendrikg3616 Жыл бұрын
@@ahall1459 Yeah, the politicians always try to make it harder, the last time they regulated magazines for centerfire guns. Nowyou can't buy handgun magazines over 20 rounds and rifle magazines over 10 rounds. If you want to own a gun you have to be a certified collector, hunter or sports shooter. A sports shooter joins a club, shoots once every month for a year and has to have a book where he notes every training. After a year he has to take a theoretical test about laws and safety and buy a certified gun safe. Then you write your head shooting association, show your training book and say that you need a gun for a discipline, for example pistol 9mm Luger 25m bullseye. They check that and certify that you need that gun. With this certificate, your theoretical test, recipe of the gun safe and your training book you write your local authorities, they run you through every three letter agency, run background checks and then give your gun license(s) with the allowance for a handgun 9mm Luger pistol. Now go to a shop, buy a 9mm Luger pistol and let the authorities put a stamp on your license. For hand guns, semiauto rifles, semiauto shotguns and repeating shotguns you need a green license and have to go through the before mentioned process for every new gun. Everything else can be bought with the yellow license for sports shooters. With this you just go into a store and buy whatever you want (single shot rifles, bolt action rifles, break action shotguns, single shot handguns, cap and ball revolvers) and let your authorities put a stamp on it. In 2017 they put a limit on the yellow license, now you can only buy max 10 guns with it. With the green license you get a basic right to buy 2 handguns and 3 rifles. Everything over that has to be reasened for, for example with competing in championships. Yesterday I was at a competition and a guy next to me had 7 handguns, so that is also possible. You have to train regularly because your authorities will check your book and if you don't train and have a good reason for it, they make you sell your guns. Hunters just take a hunting course (three times a week for about a year) and can buy as many rifles as the want but they dont get more the 2/3 handguns. Collectors have a topic of guns they collect and can buy everything in that topic. A friend of mines topic is German military weapons from 1871 to 1945 as well as captured weapons. He's got a very nice collection, even a STG44 although restricted to semiauto. Another thing: You are checked regular for crimes by your authorities. Drunk driving and crimes like assault or kiddy touching are immediate reasons that you loose your "right" to keep your guns.

The Arabic letters on the Walther pistol for the Turkish Police, read from right to left, are the letters Y and Q. As for the Persian pistol, the year 1939 is minted. Specifically, the year 1317, to which we add 622 years, it comes out what you can see, but there is a nuance in which month, because the Persians still use the lunar calendar, so it could be 1939. As for the rest of the subtitles, you need a very clear picture to decipher.

@@keithmoore5306 : I am german, Brittas boyfriend ( only using her Computer too) and born in 1965. For reason of german gunlaw, and the fact , that i don' t served in German Armed Forces ( Bundeswehr), for reason of my bad eyes, i have nearly no practical knowledge of firearms, only theoreticaly, because i read german language arms magazines for fourty years, and i have visited lots of museums and castles, showing historical weapons. In those arms magazines sometimes the USA and their laws about weapons is the topic, so i know , whats on there, and what great nonsens is told by german politicans , newspapers and TV about weapons laws in USA. Such cheap pistols made of casted non iron metal alloys ( Aluminium or Zink) are also produced in Germany, but today only for socalled Gas- and Scareshot blankguns, only ME ( Melcher) company produces for czech such castzink revolvers in 6mm Flobert rimfire, forerunner of .22 short. But in 1960s many of blankgun producers also made cheap revolvers for liferounds in .22/.32/.38. With exeption of some traditional german gunsmiths/ gunmakers ( in german both are Büchsenmacher) who are tuning/ transforming mostly S&W revolvers into highend target revolvers, there are only three revolver companies: Korth and Janz for noble target revolvers, and Weihrauch - Arminius for average revolvers.

You can get a "Nichtbeschussbescheinigung" if the gun is collectable and rare. If this is the case, it don't get proofed with overpressure and stamped, but you aren't allowed to shoot it. I know that there was a big P08 collection at Hermann Historica, the proof house researched which P08 are rare and which were not to decide which of these guns had to be proofen.

Very odd rules precluding you from importing PPK's, when smaller guns like the Ruger LCP and Seacamp are made and sold in the USA. Barrel length seems a strange determining factor.
@AlexRodriguez-er1it

Excellent point. Allow me to explain. There was some "angst" years ago about cheap "Saturday night specials" because they were commonly used by less than honorable types in the commission of crimes and they were subsequently banned from import. Barrel length was one of the features included in the ban and the PPK fell under the umbrella of this ridiculous legislation. Fine example of idiot bureaucracy at it's finest.

The ATF can't have you importing Fully Semi Automatic pistols, sir.

That Walther Model 6 wasn't a full-auto pistol, it was a WW1 expedient semi-auto pistol made in 9mm Luger (Parabellum) when the German Army badly needed pistols and they couldn't make enough Lugers. A simple blow-back design it was less than perfect and was dropped from the Walther line post-war.

@@Foche_T._Schitt I think both you and I know there's no such thing as a "fully semi-automatic pistol." It's either got a full-auto selector switch or it doesn't and the Walther Model 6 didn't, in 9mm Luger it would have been uncontrollable if it did. It's a semi-auto like a Luger or a P-38. I edited my original comment after doing a little more research just to clarify things. I suspect Customs is sitting on the thing because they don't know what it is, those pistols are a relatively scarce item.

The described German pistols. How were they purchaced? Were they illegal at a time og are they all legallly sold to you. Punishment for illegal guns in Denmark is at least two years in the link.

"We need more of you who are competent to do this." I disagree. We need less bureaucracy. Especially when it comes to firearms and firearms importation. "Shall not be infringed" doesn't mean "Shall not be infringed EXCEPT for importing the pistols which don't reach the points requirement as set by the Gun Control Act of 1968".

Those rejected firearms my have sat next to a empty box that once help a pistol brace or bumpstock and a time dilation affected the ATF agents ptsd …I’m sure it will be fine once the Bud-lite leaves the officers system….

Cherry pick for "VIP's?" How much does one need to spend to gain that distinction? I have spent over $20K acquiring items for my collection from you over the past several years (10+ separate orders). I have never received a notification from you with regards to any new "cherry picked" items. I don't do "patreon" I figure my loyalty and purchase history with you ought to be enough. Kind of lame if you ask me...
