The older BMW key used 3 buttons. Doors, trunk, panic. It seems odd that BMW would integrate two functions into one. But, BMW does a lot of things that don't make sense.

@@matte8441 Lock and unlock are for open your sunroof and windows. Always use this feature in summer. In germany we dont have a panic button so they need to add it at the trunk button if they dont want a special key only for US

My E90 M3 had the same issue with the mirrors - something breaks inside them. The easiest solution, and one the Car Ninja can definitely help you with - just code out the power mirror feature to leave them permanently in one position. That deals with the mirror fold in switch, the key folding them in, etc. Just ask him and he’ll sort you out.

JohnRoss, I have driven a M6 in its full right out of the factory specs. I gave it a good and hard drive. I was really impressed with the heads up display in M mode. It is a beast of a car. I took it to a store parking lot and just turn off the traction control and just dumped it. It gave me the fizz for sure.

Make sure you get the undertrays if you plan on going over 100mph. Makes a HUGE difference in stability at speed. Also cools the trans.

Great choice on going back to stock, these cars look much, much better that way. Miss my E60 M5 every day, they are exquisite. Can you also remove the aftermarket exhaust, tint and the smoked lights? Maybe look into stock style or BBS wheels and a full detail inside and out. Keep up the great work.

I have a 6 series for the past 2 years. All the weak spots were addressed before I took ownership. The V8 is a pretty good motor once it's sorted out. Much better than the V10 or v12.

Great video like usual and I like how all the car guys on KZbin in your area work together and get along. I had to replace the drivers door on my old Neon coupe and I had to swap everything into the new door as it was a super base level car and mine is a highline so has power everything but windows. I spent a lot of time tearing out both door handles so I could swap it over as a unit. Had to swap everything onto the new door anyway but after I got the handles swapped I realized I could have just swapped the lock cylinders with a simple snap ring remove and avoided messing everything up trying to swap everything which meant loosening the window track for room to get at it move it out of the way. Hopefully I won't ever have to do it again but look your situation over before you make it twice as hard for yourself.
