Unplanned Camping Along Sierra Vista Scenic Byway | Pop-Up Tent by Front Runner | Cat's Travel Diary

We thought a day would be enough when we decided to explore the beautiful Sierra Vista Scenic Byway. Yes, a day would be enough unless you encounter a hiccup that exactly happened to us. When we took a detour to see the Whiskey Falls, we ended up taking the longest route, which took us 3 hours (one way). Because of that, we didn't get to see everything in just a day. So we ended up camping for the night and continue our journey the next day.
This camping is entirely unplanned. The good thing is we learned from our previous trips; we made sure we packed our camping gear and brought some food this time. Experience is indeed the best teacher. lol

Best kind of trips/camping are the spontaneous kind. Reminds me of my very 1st camping experience in Pittsburgh and Baltimore. I never seen pine trees, cooking on open fire and S'mores...lol. its nice to have a tent that practically asembles itself.. i am terrible in setting up tents. Great burgers with a great view of the mountian. Cute cat He/she is curious about the outside world. Safe travels guys. Pleasure to meet you.

We ended up camping near JackAss Rock. If you search Sierra Vista Scenic Byway map you will see a road map. Some of the off-roading in the video was us trying to find The whiskey Falls. Hopefully this link helps. www.sierravistascenicbyway.com/
