Brazil be like 💀 because despite our currency (real R$) being a sh1t and you know, unemployment, when a kpop group go here (like one time at their career and they never come back again) it's just on São Paulo, it may not appear that bad, but Brazil is a pretty big country. They do like 50 shows in each USA state and even on more cities and we Brazilians have to move 3000 kilometers just to see our faves, that's so unfair. Where i live (northest region) there are a lot of kpop fans and having a show on here would give groups so much profit but of course there is no financial interest because public opinion do not give a single 💩 to us. I am a kpop fan since 2018 and never got the chance to go in a concert because the groups i stan only came four times (two before the pandemic and two after) and i missed it due to são paulo being too far (its like going from Madrid to Berlin). Just another day in a development country. (Sorry for the long text, i feel your pain)

#1: Yes! Album sales have been massively inflated for a while so the bubble is gonna burst sooner rather than later. I also would love to see mass streaming take a hit too - these and mass album buying are just a legal form of sales manipulation to falsely inflate their idols sales numbers for a sense of pride, so I’d love to see them gone. 2. I love the shaved head! XG has been on the the front line of putting concept and artistry above being conventionally pretty and cool like most of kpop. It’s nice to see the group striking a bold, unapologetic tone and pushing boundaries rather than playing it safe. 6. Also, I don’t think most non Americans realize how expensive it is to travel in the US. I lived in England for a few years, and could go to Spain or Italy for like 100£ round trip. Meanwhile in the US i rarely find flights for under $400-500 unless you pick a rare cheap route. And if I ever drive home, that is an 8 hour drive from Chicago and I’ve only gone barely 2 states and a fraction of the US.

I just wish the KPOP industry would not only punish xenophobic behavior, but label it as such. When they don’t do this and then talk about their master plan to break into the Western market even though there are Koreans out here attributing the fact that Sakura of Le Sserafim is an incredibly weak singer due to the fact that she is Japanese…it’s laughable tbh. It is also a calculated move on the part of industry reps to keep this behavior from being aligned with racism, but bruh like everyone knows if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it’s a fucking duck. Every single KPOP group has done something culturally insensitive which says A LOT.

I think the Sakura thing is a way to defend their favorite idols when they don't have the musical knowledge to actually know why she has the vocal struggles she does. As far as TripleS goes, they have a good discography. Their albums are quality and WAVS are very happy with their signature sound. I understand if their style is not for everyone…As for lack of diversity, I get it, casual listeners or non fans might get that idea. But TripleS has spent two years adding members and this comeback is their first time with the complete group. It’s not like they debuted with 24 members…they debuted with 8 members (2 subunits) and Acid Angels from Asia and Krystal Eyes are two subunits that had different styles and vibes. LovElution was bright and feel good…Evolution was dark and mystical. The full unit comebacks OT 10 and this latest one are similar in style and mood…but up until now the group was not complete. I see diversity in the subunits. Now that the group is complete, let’s just wait and see what they do going forward before judging.

seventeen going down from 16 millions to 4 millions now doesn't look good, and yeah i know its only first part of the year, but i dont think that for example their sales will go more than 10 millions this year, when we are talking about girl groups i think the peak is 2 millions album sales, the closest for me to go out from this barrier is or gidle or aespa now with their album, but thats important, to break that barrier it has to be full album or have a hit song and also previous album should have also a hit song, or it could be their last album in their carrier, but anyway i think that its hard to sold more than 2 million albums by girl groups, even when we look at blackpink and how popular they ae, they haven't sold 3 millions albums and for now there arent any groups that it looks like they could be second bp or bts. about lip sync, i am always laughing when idols are doing a high note and they don't open their mouth fully, like i am sorry but its not possible to sing high without fully opened mouth

It’s because of the movies and tv shows that these non-Americans watch. Most won’t watch shows that show the low income lifestyle. Most watch shows that show people who live in medium to big houses. America definitely has an overall culture, how can you grow up in a country & not also be raised by the country's culture?? You can most definitely have more than one ethnicity making Felix, Korean-Australian & Yunjin, Korean-American due to them also understanding the Australian & American culture having been raised there while also coming home to Korean parents who also instilled their culture in the home.
@FifthGateАй бұрын
You're trying to dilute/partially erase their Korean ethnicity by claiming "Australian" and "American" are ethnicities. Australia and America are multiethnic colonial settler states-they don't have one "culture." "Australian" and "American" aren't ethnicities, unless you're talking about groupings of indigenous peoples, who probably don't even want to be labeled with those European names (derived from Latin and Italian, respectively).
@karsynmcgill7236Ай бұрын
@@FifthGate There parents diluted their Korean by giving birth & raising them in a different country... Plus, any Korean would point out how they don't act like the typical "Korean"(AKA They're not JUST Korean). Even with the multiple races & ethnicities within America, to say that there is no overall customs or lifestyle just shows you've never been here or atleast wasn't paying attention.. You can't help where people are born and raised so to say that Felix isn't Australian knowing he'll swear up and down that he is, while claiming his Korean heritage. So why not both???

I see what you’re saying but I really think you don’t grasp how big the US is (when put side by side with all of Europe the US is bigger). I live in the northwest, and it would take me two days to drive to California. I would have to pay for accommodations for the half way point there and back and for when I get there(just because you can sleep in your car doesn’t mean you should, the US isn’t as safe as you’d hope in some parts). I really wanted to see BTS a few years ago and it would have cost roughly $6,000 USD. I never saw BTS. I won a scholarship to go to school in Japan, and I remember some girls talking about going to see BTS’s last performance in Busan, they went there via ferry, it cost them around 40-50USD and it only took 3 hours (that’s about how long it takes to just leave my state). Anyway I don’t know where you live, and it could very well be more there expensive, but for anyone not near a big city in the US, we feel your pain.
