The beauty of all powerblock equipment is the solid, simple build. I have their kettlebell and bench and I know they’ll last for years. The more moving parts fitness equipment has, the more likely they are to break

I have the new Powerblock Pro 100 Exps. I was torn between PBs and the Reppins but I know I made the right choice. Having 100lb urethane coated dumbbells with knurled steel handles at home is amazing. These things are made for university and commercial gyms. They are the improved version of the Hammer Strength x Powerblock dumbbells.

I got the pro 100 exp its good, felt really nice, just that the handle is a little bit too thick for my small hands especially when pulling, but it is superb for pushing movements. The box design sometimes works well because it kinda hits your forearm and acts like a secondary support for the weight especially when doing lateral raise.

Powerblock also like 60% of the cost of repxpepin. Huge advantage there. They just suck when you want to do a lift requiring holding the dumbell somewhere besides the handle, or if your grip has fatigued and you want to wear straps.

iv had my power block for over 1 year and i got them used they are older ones and they still work perfect and the guy i got them from was a animal so i know he used the crap out of them so i can say power blocks do hold up over the test of time and that makes power block worth it. i am thinking about getting the rep pepin i want a set to keep in my home gym and want to put one power block next to my computer and one in my living room to do sets when im watching tv and youtube. i love the power blocks because i know they last forever and as of right now i feel the repin and the power blocks are the 2 best pics if you want something that will last

great design, that's why power blocks have been around so long- personally i have the ironmaster for a few reasons: no cage around my hands (that does bother me when i used them) and price (75 pounds for 488 w/ black friday and military discount, no tax). i like supporting companies that support military; however, IM has discontinued its military discount- mine still works but i guess no more new accounts. all said, if iron didn't exist i would've gone with power blocks and just lived with the cage

I picked up Powerblock Sport EXP with the expansions up to 90lb brand new on Black Friday for $1100 less than it would have cost to order Rep / Pepins. That was just too much money saved to ignore. That being said, I don’t mind the blocky design so far but don’t really like the handle and don’t like that I can’t twist my hand into the grip to get a firm hold on it without my knuckles hitting the tubes for the 2.5lb weights. Other than that they seem very solid and I actually think they look pretty badass in my gym.
@MarkPMaguire19 күн бұрын
I had the sport 50’s, non expandable so they only went up to 50lbs. Otherwise I would’ve kept them, very nice looking and that silver metal material didn’t show much signs of wear and tear. I don’t mind the rubber ergonomic handle, but ya a draw back to the PB’s is it is hard to use like a Versa grip or straps. Hope they work out for you!

@MarkPMaguire21 күн бұрын
Ya, honestly I wish I could get one expansion pack to 70 pounds but these ones don’t do that. But can do a lot with 50 pounds and less, just have to pre fatigue and do other things.
@heyheythrowaway20 күн бұрын
I have the U90 with an expansion to 125, but they don't make that any more, so you'd have to get lucky finding it used. I see they have a pro that goes up to 175 but also you have to drop $2k. Powerblocks still the king when it comes to weight. Wish they'd focus more on that and make a home set that goes to like 150 but is cheaper than $2k. I keep waiting for a competitor to make some heavy ass DBs to upgrade my 125's, but I guess I'll just buy a cheap trap bar and plates for deads and squats.

@MarkPMaguire20 күн бұрын
@@phiz118 powerblocks or rep Pepins? I would argue that the adjustment for powerblocks is more simple. The magnetic pin easily slides into position. For the Repins it is harder to visualize what wait you are on, and you have to do the pop pin on both sides, and you may glide the pop pin right past the weight you wanted.
@MarkPMaguire20 күн бұрын
@@rickydw9152 How durable do you require your exercise equipment? I don’t see my PB breaking anytime soon. Powerblocks have been around forever, it’s a solid choice for many people and facilities.
