Dear Gluck, Thank you for a great review. Despite them being sent to you for free, I feel I can be confident in your review quality. I see and recognize the time and effort you put into filming and editing. No B-roll shot, for a joke or to make a point, ever goes unnoticed. I recognize that the quality of your videos still consistently improves, be it in the quality of filming, your diction, or other aspect of your videos. I have recently reached a point in my life where I am an adult, and I am starting to feel the weight of my ambitions of wanting to start my own business or something of the sort, and it is starting to become apparent to me how difficult it can be to commit or put work on something one can't be sure about making money when you got others depending on you. I respect that you are able to make consistent improvements and stay on schedule while having the responsibilities of a family and a young child. As with any startup, you must have put a lot of time and effort into it to make it all work. I am glad to see you succeed. I hope you and your family is doing well.

This review was perfect 🤝🏼 As many others in the comments there are pros and cons with different brands. At the end of the day 50lb are 50lb, we all have different tolerances for usability and also different budgets. My biggest reasons on why these are better than other adjustable ones is weight capacity, durability and price (amazon had discounts and free shipping) also hate the rattling noises of other Adjustable dumbbells. Again this video just helped clarify that, thanks again.

Great review, thanks. Another plus for Ironmaster is their ecosystem, as you mentioned in your Home Gym Con vid. I've had Ironmaster dumbells for several years and recently purchased two IM kettebell handles, so for an extra $200, I have two high-quality, loadable kettlebells. You can also use the IM plates, and dumbbells themselves, in the IM portable cable tower. I'm sure many of your viewers aren't interested in kettlebells or portable cable machines, but IM products are a good solution for those of us without space for a rack and lots of barbell plates.

@elyliu2 ай бұрын
This is what I am thinking too as I also have a set of quicker adjustables that I am out growing. As long as you are not making big weight changes, there isn’t as much twisting to do to lock/unlock. I’ll just keep these at the heavier weight and use my other one for lighter weight ranges.

I’ve been waiting for a proper review of these for a long time! The Eisenlinks had just shown up on Amazon here in the UK when I was starting my home gym last year. At the exact same time I was looking at spending £500 on a pair of Ironmasters from Facebook Marketplace but was seriously tempted at going with the brand new (likely warranty holding) Eisenlinks. At the time though there was next to zero information about the Eisenlinks so I took the leap and grabbed the second hand Ironmasters and have loved them with the addition of the Heavy Handle kit ever since. Your review has validated my decision so thank you!
@soul_in_a_fishbowl6 ай бұрын
Something i want to mention here is that I have bent the handle on my iron masters (dropped 100lbs off incline press right onto the corner). Iron master of course offered to fix them when I contacted them, but suggested I might be able to beat them back into place myself, which wouldn’t affect the lifetime warranty. Where I see this being an issue for the eisenlinks is that if the handle were to bend at all, it might affect seating the plates into each other with the screws. I’m still using my wonky iron masters, and I don’t have a pair of eisenlinks, but for heavy lifting I think I’ll stick with the iron masters.

I have had the eisenlinks for about 2 weeks now and the only 2 inconveniences i have are the locking pin taking more time than id like when adjusting weight and pinching my fingers in the built in handles while dropping in more than 10b pounds per end , once you get used to that , they are solid
@markmurray56597 ай бұрын
? Please elaborate. Thanks
@jarontaliman17 ай бұрын
@markmurray5659 you have to unscrew the locking pins pretty far to accommodate the set screws to have enough space to remove a plate. And each plate has a built in hole/ handle, if you are not careful with 10 or more pounds, when you drop in plates while your fingers are in there, you can easily smash them when changing weights.

I'm about two steps away from pulling the trigger on Ironmaster and, for me, the two biggest advantages are the expansive ecosystem and greater weight potential. I was previously about to pre-order the upcoming Rep x Pepin...but...looking at Ironmaster's kettlebell that A.) can hold 25 lbs more than the Pepin version and B.) do so at less than one third the cost of Pepin's offering (which may not even be compatible with the upcoming Rep iteration), well, I can see why they have such a dedicated following.
@rodolfomedini99317 ай бұрын
I like Pepin HDs and would like to see a comparison.... I bought the handles no plates and am lucky enough to live close enough to a CAP barbell warehouse where they sell pancake plates for $1 a pound those 12.5 plates allow them to get to 175 in plates plus 9 pounds for the handles and screws anyone can hit marketplace and break down a pair of heavy prostyle dumbbells which I originally did to get a bunch of 10s. I like the knurl on the HD handles better than iron master's as it's really good knurl and a variety of diameters from 34.5 mm, 37mm, to 49mm...

Exactly what I wanted to comment. That said, for a few months now Zipro's dumbbells have been out of stock and to complicate matters, Zipro's storefront is exclusively in Polish - thankfully auto translate exists. Someone else in this comment section mentioned this exact style of dumbbell exists in China as well under a different name - which probably means that all the rest are sourcing them from China with different branding. Apparently the Chinese version goes up to 260 lbs/each, somehow, but I expect those aren't up to either EU or US safety standards, otherwise it seems nuts they aren't being sold here - it would be a huge PR win to have the heaviest dumbbells on the market.

With either the Iron Master or Eisenlink, can you use standard 1" plates or 2" Olympic plates as well? Could make it easy to add 1.25lb plates to get 2.5lb increments! Also wondering if that may make it easier, faster, or cheaper to go heavy if you just get the cheapest base kit they offer and use your existing 10lb and/or 25lb plates or something if you want to go heavier (i.e. using it like any standard spin-lock plate-loaded handles but having the nice flat ends). Would also love to see a comparison between these and the Kensui AdjustaBells MAX metal handles which also have the screw-in pin design but are meant to be used with regular weight plates (well 28mm/1.1" or larger holed ones at least) and don't really have any quick-change mechanism.
