Love your commentary! I personally think the only reason black women wearing Bonnets is shamed, is because they’re black women. Now I don’t think wearing a bonnet in public is cute, but immediately classifying the person as unkempt is an undertone of racism. And let’s be honest if a black woman w 4 type hair wore a true messy bun with unlaid edges and fly always they would get a worse reaction than a white girl wearing it.

I had a discussion with a friend (she's obsessed with the kar-jenners) about the surgeries and procedures Kylie might have gotten done. I speculated more than the obvious lip fillers and BBL. I said she had fillers put on to her jaw and chin to scalp it more (might even be implants that is giving that perfect scalping and sharp shape), browplasty, rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, tummy tuck after the pregnancy (the shape of her navel changed after the birth of stormy). She seriously looked like she was in her late 20's when she was 19

I disagree with the bonnet section. Me personally I would never wear something outside that I go back in my bed with, so I will either change to like an outside bonnet or wear an outside scarf or durag. But we as black people need to feel human. Like any other group of people wouldn't be as critical with someone looking a mess as with black people. We're human and sometimes we don't want to be the star of the show. I don't understand how someone else could be concerned with someone whom they have no connection to and whats on top of their head.

With sex work there’s a huge difference between normalization and glorification. Sex work being normalized means safer work for those who choose to do so. Social media users who glorify it are at personal fault, not the institution of sex work as a whole. Pimps and the dangers that come along with in person sex work wouldn’t be problems if it was normalized because there would be legal protection for said workers.

I understand your part about the bonnet, but why do we as Black women always have to look presentable? It’s not fair we have higher expectations than other races bc of what other ppl think…they’re gonna talk down on us no matter what we do so who cares. I wear my bonnet for errands or travel to protect my hair. Sometimes I don’t wanna take a whole 15 mins to do my hair, yes even in a bun, if i’m going out real quick. i would rather go out in a bonnet sorry if it don’t look presentable tho. I usually agree with most of your points, but I disagree with the bonnet/durag thing. I think durags are different than bonnets, but I think people should be able to wear it if they want. I think men wearing a durag is amazing and I love it. Bonnets are cool too go for it. And another thing is not all women want to get married. Not everyone wants that. And that's okay. My mom had me and my brother wit the same man but they weren't married; she just married another man this year and they had a kid just before marriage. If you are anti abortion then that also plays into that. Not everyone is the same and raised as traditionally. Not everyone can love themselves either. That's extremely rude to say to people who struggle with mental health issues.

I was raised by a strict African mom, so that has greatly affected how I view things, and not many agree. But welp. But about the bonnet, so back in home, KE, we have this rule. If you are going out, you must look good. Even if it's the shop around the corner. When we moved to america, my mom and I were shocked to see women in pajamas and bonnets out in stores, restaurants, etc... esp cos pajamas are considered under garments for the bed sheets to see🤣🤣 and bonnets just dont look all that good. We say in my tongue "ushamba" which means uncivilized (is alilo mean), but yeah😂✌🏾

personally i believe in the universe vs god because if i believe in god i question why he allows people to be homeless, slavery and people especially his believers. i grew up in a super religious family and literally everyone suffered. we went to church pretty often but yet i was still homeless, i remember begging god for a change and nothing. but with believing in the universe to me (note for me personally) it makes more sense because it shows that people have free will and that things have to happen for a balance

I really liked you when just found you. Do you still hold these same opinions. College it's not for everyone. That's a very privileged thing to say I went, dropped out because I either had to drop or or die. I was THAT depressed. And I'm USD5.9k in debt. Just from a year. I had to work and do school, not everyone can do this. You're speaking from a strictly "everything went right for you in high school", supportive family, including financially. Did you work during college? Too many people subscribe to the idea of going to college and end up like me, and worse. You're speaking like a pretty girl whose had everything. You're getting to move out of your house and go do better things with your life. Great for you, some of us have to spend our young adult years, healing trauma and trying to grow. College would be great, if it weren't the scam that it is. That's the brainwashing society put on us to give colleges all of our money and stay in debt to the government. And its worked for so many years. College is for specific reasons, to go for just the experience, is a VERY privileged thing. Also I'm a lesbian lol, so a man better not propose to me.

ik im late but i’m going to keep editing this comment till i finish the video. that’s your body and your life. you do you but these are my opinions. TW on the 9th opinion response btw 1.) i really love astrology but i can’t stand when people be like “i can’t date you, you’re a libra (or whatever sign you are)”. I’m an Aries and for the most part, yes i do relate to the traits but if multiple of people are saying “it’s giving [insert sign] energy” then, you’re not special lmao. it’s giving all of their energy atp. it doesn’t dictate a whole person 2.) crystals and witchcraft is NOT to be messed with. i’m fine with crystals, my mom introduced me to all of that stuff etc. But people are really participating in things they have no business in doing. i believe in all of that stuff (energy changes form but it never dies) and you can really fuck your life or someone’s life with it. 3.) cheating is a non negotiable. it is the BARE MINIMUM. if they cheated on you during important times, they shown you everything and they’re going to keep doing it because they know that you’ll take them back (cough cough, Khloe and Tristan. How tf are you going to cheat on your partner right before they go into labor) 4.) idk if everyone should go to college tbh. but if you’re like “i’m not going to college, i’m going to just make music” (or be a youtuber), i think you’re setting yourself up for failure. go to a community college or trade and wait until you see the money coming in 5.) Bonnets shouldn’t be warn in public. i’m biracial (black and mexican) and my black side (dads side), will absolutely hate if you wear a bonnet outside. idc tbh but i’ll just throw my hair in a messy bun rather than wearing a bonnet in public. they will rather have your hair be a mess than to wear a bonnet because they think you look worse if you have one on in public. unless you’re in a car then, okay whatever. my dad is really hard on my brother and I about that tho. “people are going to look for excuses to put you down. you need to look presentable so people have 1 less excuse to discriminate or be racist towards you. don’t play into their stereotype). 6.) kids should be after marriage but obviously it doesn’t always happen. i don’t want kids or marriage but if you’re dating and you got pregnant, i think that’s when marriage should happen. but it depends on their situation. obviously you should NOT bring a kid into a world and you can’t afford them. another hot take, if you need government assistance but you have like 4 kids with different baby daddy’s, i think you have a different priority in your head because your kids can barely get the basic necessities. birth control, condoms and plan b should be free because, kids deserve to have a decent life. they didn’t ask to be here 7.) i’m 19 and i want my lip fillers. but i’m not going to get a bbl bc i want a slim waist and big ass. i think it’s a really lazy way. but there’s some places where you can’t lose and i think that’s fine. there should be a maximum amount of surgeries a person should get (that’s surgical). but some surgeons are so money hungry that they don’t take the time and be like “no, you had a lot of other procedures and it has too many risks”. 8.) kylie jenner. honestly, kylie has a lot of procedures but she’s still gorgeous asf. usually peoples faces look so botched but i think she’s still beautiful asf 9.) as a sex worker, it shouldn’t be normalized but it also shouldn’t be frowned upon. ik it contradicts each other but yes, the money is great but it’s really draining. it’s extremely dark and i’ve been doing it since i was barely a teen (14) and the way i started was because i used to be raped a lot. he would film and post it, then make me be a camgirl. i’m 19 now and i still make videos because it’s getting the power that was taken from me back. majority of my audience is older older men (late 30’s and above) and they like me because of my body and it doesn’t help that i have a really high voice. but people fantasize about kidnapping me etc 10.) i don’t believe in god (i’m agnostic) but i’m not going to say “it’s the universe that is getting me there”, i think it undermines something.. a lot and it sounds really distasteful to me. when people are severely injured etc they say “thank you jesus for keeping me alive and saving me”, it sounds very icky to me. it just sounds like “oh, so the people who fought hard and ended up dying, it’s cause god didn’t want them alive?”. idk. i don’t think there’s a god but i am spiritual. i will 100% respect someone’s religious beliefs because it’s really sacred but that’s just my opinion

"you need to look presentable so people have 1 less excuse to discriminate or be racist towards you. don’t play into their stereotype)." Stereotypes are built on racism so a black person simply existing will be playing into stereotypes. No matter what we do or wear we will be looked down on. A bonnet is for natural hairs protection its nothing ghetto about protecting your natural hair. The only reason a bonnet is ghetto is because there ae already racist stereotypes placed upon the people they originate from-- black people.

When Toni speaks on being agasint plastic surgery I think she speaks on it from a place of pretty privilege. Most people aren't gonna look at her and call her ugly. She would have no idea what it's like to live a live of any facial defects or even if you don't there are so many people who've lived a life being called nothing but ugly. You can find a few videos on KZbin of people just sharing their experience living a life were they were nothing but ugly to the outside world. It's so sad and even sadder that it wasn't really social media that impacted their way of thinking

First of all she talked about plastic surgery as an easy way to working out so you are completely off topic. And a facial defect is is not the enhancement type. Nobody was never called ugly or bullied for not having a big disproportionated butt. It’s totally fine for deformity or anomalies to be correct that’s why cosmetic surgery was created in the first place not to give people alien size lips or butts it’s getting out of hand now

@@ToniBryanneTV i wanna ask, if someone is willing to judge your character by simply wearing a bonnet are they even someone worth talking to?? Sometimes I don't feel like the prize and I don't feel well and it makes me more comfortable to just put on a headscarf and call it a day. You made a point in your video that we have to present ourselves well because black people are judged as a whole. Instead of putting the pressure on black people to always uphold this standard of perfection, why not hold the people accountable for not generalizing black people so harshly. I want to represent ME! I don't want other black people to represent all black people by the way they dress. We should also be seen as individuals. Also whats it wrong with durags? I don't think they were made for inside purposes. We should really claim that cause other races will always try and act like they came up with it first.

"If a man proposed to any woman that said she did not want to get married..." along with the everyone should go to college statements..mm idk, a lot of this felt kinda polarizing to me tbh. I appreciate that you have your own viewpoint and opinion on all things as everyone should! But I definitely don't view things so black and white and I don't think that all women would say yes to a proposal by a country MILE! Lol and college too, I agree with how it helps people, but I also don't think it's for everyone tbh. I also am agnostic/ leaning atheist and it makes complete sense to me how people say the universe instead of God bc not everyone believes in God lol...pretty simple really. No shade, all love, just my 2 cents.

I agree with most of these apart from the college one. I think everyone needs to get some form of education or certification. College is expensive and a waste if you don’t really know what you want to do. I also agree with the bonnets, nobody should wear bonnets, white or black. It’s messy and does not look presentable for the outside world.

God and the universe are the same essentially. The main reason I see people straying away from using his name is the trauma from those using him name but not walking in his teachings. Above all else you are supposed to love but what we see more is judgment from those who arent him/her/what ever your beliefs are. Christians have caused a lot of pain using gods name and so people are now seeking him in another form. Some also do it for clout but you can tell pretty easily who they are if you are one with yourself and actually research what you claim to believe.

On the last point, I use the term universe instead of god because I was raised with religion and have a bunch of religious trauma from it. The universe, in the way I use it, is the presence of god everywhere. But god is not a man or a woman. God is an entity that is beyond gender or definition. That’s why I feel more comfortable using universe, but I guess at the end of the day, they can be used interchangeably as long as gender and preconceived religious beliefs (like linking god to a certain religious practice) aren’t attached to the name.

The zodiac sign trend is frustrating for people like me who have been studying astrology (& all of its complexities) for a long time because, once you really breakdown an entire chart (& I don't even mean the top 9), the lilith, etc, there is a lot of truth in; however, these sign placements do not determine someone's personal life decisions. Choosing to do something bad is a choice, not a trait. Therefore, not every "cancer" or "scorpio" would do what someone with the same sign would. There is still independence, personal choice. Your placements and the entire astrological chart determine differing things - potentially hobbies, interests, some inate personality traits - but not your actions.

1st observation: I completely agree with you about your opinion of not comparing someone by zodiac sign. The main reason I agree is because of the fact that just because someone may actually be a certain zodiac sign doesn't mean they ACT like a certain zodiac sign. In fact, prime example: if you knew me well enough to know that I'm an Aries, I think you'd be quite surprised. 2nd observation: I, too, haven't tried using crystals--and I don't want to start. For my own personal reasons, that's something that I'd like to stay away from because I feel like dealing with such can open doors that don't need to be opened. 3rd observation: So, I'm not really one to judge someone's public appearance because it's like, "Hey, it's your body. Wear what you want." But, at the same time, I do agree; I don't think bonnets are appropriate to wear in the public. But hey, to each their own. You like it, I love it. 4th observation: YES! TOTALLY AGREE about having kids after marriage. Very personal reasons for why that's the case ("personal," as in talking about said reasons would, too, get me dragged--at least, that's how it feels the way society looks nowadays). 5th observation: I agree that sex work shouldn't be normalized. I've always said this, and I will keep saying this: SEX IS NOT A JOKE. Like, it's supposed to be between two people, not this person, that person, that person, this person. It's sacred and I know I'm going to get dragged for this, but it is supposed to be saved for marriage, not before. Like, sex is literally NOTHING to play with. 6th observation: As a Christian, I do ask the same question in terms of why people have a hard time saying "God" and "Jesus," but not "the universe." I never say anything about that unless God leads me to say something about it, especially in terms of ministering to someone. However, I won't lie; it does bother me when someone finds it difficult to say the name of Jesus, but not other names and/or forces. But, at the same time, it doesn't surprise me because we are living in the last days, and that sort of thing is expected to happen. Overall, your opinions are not worth being dragged over. I think they are completely valid and appreciated. You've got some great insight, girlfriend! ❤

I feel like people get confused there would not be no spirituality without God they’re really hand-in-hand if you really think about it spirituality to me, is you doing the work yourself and God is basically a support system because he will show you, grace unconditional love and guidance as you do the work (work as in striving to be a good human being)

Why I think people use "the universe" over God: People want spirituality but don't want to be held to a moral standard. God is inherently personal, conscious and moral. God is complex, more complex than humans are and people don't like what they can't understand. Most people want to be their own God. There is also baggage along with saying God or Jesus. People can't understand stories in the bible or reconcile God's wrath alongside His unbelievable love and forgiveness. If more people sought a personal relationship with God first, they would find Him. He's not there to make our every wish our command. He is there to relate with, ask questions to and experience. I used to use crystals, manifestations etc... I learned the dangers of it and when I asked God to reveal themself to me, whether God be the Hindu gods, the Christian God or whatever He may be, I got the answer back loud and clear over the span of a year in spiritual experiences and monumental life events. The answer was: Jesus.

LOL, I'm a woman but I HAVE turned down 2 marriage proposals, & I'd do it again if anyone was foolish enough to ask me 😂 Women aren't all the same! Marriage is NOT for me & I've never wanted it. I don't have or want kids either, but it wouldn't be unusual to have kids without being married in Australia- over 50% of children are born to unmarried parents now; I think our society is quite different from the US in that respect... But I think being white makes a difference too.

I agree. Wearing bed clothes and bonnets outside the house is giving the perception that black women are unemployed, on welfare and we don’t do anything but sit in the house all day. Even tho we know thats not the case. But it’s not cute and we need to do better and stop making excuses as to why we can’t. It’s really no excuse for this seriously.
