Zeus Network has gained a lot of popularity in the recent years. With its raw, unfiltered, and explicit content, it's not shocking it's gained an audience, but at what cost? In this video, we will be discussing everything wrong with Zeus network and how it can turn into the demise of the black community

I had to stop watching a lot of reality shows that only showed people arguing and fighting. I thought it was funny at first like most but then I saw how much people in real life try to imitate it and my soul said we have to stop supporting this. It's truee everyone imitates this and arguments to. To the point where it got engraved into society norm. We have two groups of ppl in my opinion those that behave and think that this was is good like fighting and arguing or respect. And then you have the proper way which is waht our normal civilized way should be the norm. Instead of committing crimes such as assault. I just can't with this I also agree but the reason they do this is for money we all know that , violence and sex sells. And they give no fucks about changing our community at all.

In the case of whatever scenario you drew up, empathy would either be towards the “talents” being used as caricatures for another’s profit; or it would be towards those who watch this and are influenced by them. But concerning your comment itself, I never said that people couldn’t enjoy whatever media they choose. I simply pointed out that the media we consume, shapes our beliefs. Zeus is NOT doing anything different than Vh1 (Love & Hip-Hop/Basketball Wives) & Bravo (Hosesives: ATL; Potomac) The problems with Zeus: their shows have no structure ESPECIALLY their reunion shows. They also do not showcase any type balance. And yes they are extremely exploitative. A show she didn't mention was Blac Chyna. Tokyo Toni being an abusive mother is what drew major attention to the Network to begin with.

@Brooklyn.88 NO, the issue is we the audience needs to stop supporting it because when Zeus first launched, they DID have quality programming. Zeus Network had: scripted shows (Liquid Jay; The Scolarship; Adam's World); ●they had fitness shows (Body By Bartl; The Qimmah Show) ●they had talk shows (Royal Chat; Talking Sh!t) The problem is no 1 gave a damn about these shows so they went the reality tv route. I find it absolutely wild that tap dancing Bach founded the Zeus Network with another Black man and a Yt woman. It would be one thing if he promoted the same kind of content he became successful for; ministrel ‘humour’. It’s odd that he doesn’t have other Black men participate in similar shows. However, he chose to particularly base his shows off the exploitation of vulnerable Black women - A group of people he never showed any kind of support for in his entire career. The nail in the coffin is allowing a white woman to participate in our demise so publicly. It really paints a picture of the realities of the Black community right now, and how intersectionality is real and a huge problem.

Such as ghetto women or women that are too masculine and love to fight their sisters instead of coming together. There can be some positive things but the negative sticks out the most. And we both know.... because of these shows all ppl will think of black women in this country is a *ghetto mess* that got no other sh*t to do that yell and fight about useless men who don't even care about them. Idk why it so hard for them to make more positive type of shows🙄 where these women come together instead of always fighting. it very sad the stereotypes they are leaving on black women. Only watched this past season of baddies because of tommie. Tommie has always been upfront with her struggles with alcoholism and I appreciate her for that. No longer watching zeus now that she won’t be apart of it, of course she isn’t the only reason why I will no longer be watching but it’s just too much toxicity. At natalie nunns big age she should be encouraging women to become better and want better, but we the people love the violence, we support the violence, we enjoy watching the chaos as long as it’s not happening in our own lives.

Completely agree with everything that came out of your mouth. And a lot of the consumers of this content are also part of the problem. The more views we give them views, the more they continue to pump out this content and it’s horrible. But with being in the generation, it difficult to not feed into because it’s everywhere. Black people just need to do better.

I loved baddies but got convicted to stop watching it because it promotes anger and rage, wickedness and ratchetness overall. Chrisean going on there while pregnant also just sealed it for me tbh.

Before these shows you had B.Simone & Blame it on K show on there was entertaining and wasn’t much like the shows today…yes they were faking dating shows but still good. I have watched Baddies ATL, Bad Boys LA, and Bobby shows ( I watched the last two for gay representation) but I don’t watch any seasons bc not only the fighting which was entertaining at times but the episodes would drag, they would be boring, people would be boring or just be too much and the whole Joseline thing and the quality of the zesus projects be 😬

I agree with what you said about the shows you discussed, but for a full picture, you should’ve addressed the other shows on the platform. Lemuel swears they show positive images of black people but they just aren’t as popular. I wonder if that’s true

Season 4 of joseline cabaret is coming out in a few weeks… and the lawsuit was dropped the girl took a payout n that’s it. So she’s not in a legal battle. But it’s a matter of time before joseline gets herself into something very serious that she cannot get back from.
