UnPros Garage: Hert's Simple Seat Time Stallion S13 Gets a Honda K24 Swap Ep.1

The simple seat time stallion may have not gone down the simplest path previously - but reliability is key when it comes to getting seat time in drifting. So to get the most shred time vs fixing time, Hert decided to take his S13 hatch and make it Honda powered - with a good 'ol K24 swap. And maybe a little turbo hanging off the side.

Honestly the Crv k24 and tsx head is a direct swap. And probably slot cheaper than tsx motors. The K 24 from the accord is what I use it's tough 250-300$

"Simple" - but requires so many custom parts to fit it. Build an SR, put good parts on it, that's a "simple" setup.

That was sort of my thought but with an LS, since he wants simple and reliable. Parts for SR's are not really cheap these days, especially when you consider almost all the sr's anymore are going to need a rebuild to be reliable in a high strain situation like drifting. Believe me I would love to see an sr in it myself but they are getting expensive to source and build.

@@HooniganProjectGarage All the small compromises add up though. 7 mm spaced down subframes, coolant hoses that make a loop around the engine because it's designed for FWD.. All the K-swaps I've seen require so many little things, or have so many little things that are in inconvinient places. Can't beat an engine that was designed with the car, or if you do, it should at least have much more potential.

dont put a RBC VTc gear on a k24. If you accidently over rev it by mishifting,the valves will collide with pistons. also you dont need high vtec degree for turbo power.stock VTC 25 degree gear would have been just fine. I leant this leason the hard way.bent valves by mis shifting 3rd to 2nd
