Never thought I would get the info I need from what sounds like a relaxed Antonio Banderas but here we are, subscribed.

7:50 is there a way go get back the shadows of the mesh?

Is there a way of combining the PPV effect with a prexisting material on an object to desaturate it by distance rather than just to be used as a solid colour determination method?

At 8:15 instead of switching back to the Radial Distance version could you use the Shadow Pass Switch node to retain both the nice dithering and the object shadows?

Haven't tried that solution but yeah, there are a few ways to solve the shadowing issue; didn't go into those to avoid making the video too long, since the topic was mostly the camera distance based effects. Thanks for the suggestion anyway! :)

super helpful, but you skipped over creating the Radial Distance group... how did you create the "Offset" and "MaxDistance" param nodes? I can't find an option that gives me the right nodes... EDIT: Just found it... Scalar Parameters

Saludos!
