An updated sample demo of the locomotion system I have been working on for Stormrite using Unreal Engine's motion-matching technology.
Version 3 sees upper body layering, driven by a data table that stores characteristics of each upper body pose, and how it 'overlays' on top of the motion layer. Users can call a simple function to choose which pose to use from the data table, with a custom blend time.
Turn in place has also been implemented in this version, along with many grounded locomotion improvements (especially when arcing/sharply turning).

Its great ! Like the others, tutorial please ! ^^ And some questions : * Are transition animations like put the weapon on holster or so are able or not ? * Does the motion matching animations can be use with aiming ? * Is it replicated ? Thanks !

Hi, to answer your questions: - Yes, it is replicated! - Yes the motion matching anims can be used for aiming, there's a control rig that handles procedural aim offset - At the moment there aren't any transition animations for equip/holster, but there's a montage system in the project that would make it pretty easy to implement that yourself :) Here's the link: www.unrealengine.com/marketplace/en-US/product/locomotion-matching

How much coverage do you have for the leans when running? I cant seem to get them to be smooth, they always flicker (I'm guessing your using root motion to drive the character). Orientation warping somehow isn't doing it.

Full coverage for leans, I've got animations at rotation rates of 30,60,90,120,150 and 180 degrees per second. I'm not using root motion, I don't really like the idea of being (somewhat) locked to the movement speed that the animations dictate, so for rotation I'm using a smoothed rotation system, similar to ALS

Yeah, you could definitely record animation then use it in the level sequencer. Have a look at the 'take recorder' if you're not familiar with it
