#unrealengine #gamedev #tutorial In this video I go through the process of setting up stylized lighting from scratch that would work well in a casual puzzles game.

Hey there! Brand new to lighting in unreal, I’m curious, does this technique become a bit harder to apply if you’re doing a day/night cycle? Like you’d have to find a way to blend between different sky colors etc.

excellent. would there be a way to include volumetric clouds inside the BP_Backdrop?
@matteckenrodt Жыл бұрын
if theyre moving clouds, they clip through the sphere, you could just try making the sphere extremely large so the clipping happens far away. I think the default sky atmosphere set in the starter level would be better for volumetric clouds

this is pretty awesome, I never knew you could achieve such a lighting effect with cubemaps

Thanks alot! This is is what I was trying to accomplish! I don't have the passion for being the best artist but if I can create an environment (or a guide) where people that do have this passion iterate and reach their goals then I'm happy! Looking forward to see what you make with this! (and let me know if I can help out :) )
