Hey thank you Jayanam, I love all your videos. This fps setup suffers from the same issue as the rest of the tutorials. How do you keep the camera from moving? What do you mean by "stop the camera from moving" When should it stop?

@@JayAnAm Thanks for getting back to me. When I stand still, because the character is moving with its animation the camera never stands still. It feels like you're on a ship with movement. I hope I described that ok. I could stop the animation somehow?

@@GaryParkin Ah now I got you - ok, this is due to the parenting of the camera. It is parented to a bone of the character's rig and the bone is rotating when the animation is played. @lolololololnoobs4 жыл бұрын
you need to put the camera ontop your mesh in viewport
@pretzelrum73154 жыл бұрын
Your project was most likely built as a C++ project rather than a Blueprint project. This causes quite a few changes in the way some things work like how the camera becomes an inherited class. My suggestion is that you create the project as a blueprint project instead. You can still add in your own C++ classes afterwards although It'll be more troublesome as you'll have to manually insert the #include files into your code rather than letting the engine prepare it for you.

Hello there, I am a 14- year old self-taught programmer with 12 months of C++ experience and 18 months in Python. I have lately started learning 3D- modelling with Blender, and now I'm considering to start with a game engine. I haven't bought anything yet, since I heard that UE is a bit complicated. But why is it so complicated? Does the programming happen in a lower level, or is it something else?

Hi, I don't think that it is so complicated... many options, but the frameworks and concepts are consistent, so as soon you get it, you'll love it.

I'm all for taking existing tutorials, for example in forums in written forms or any other medias and making them your own by adding tons of info or making it slightly different, but since those are the exact same steps extracted from Virtus's tutorials (which you are subscribed to) published less than a week ago, it's a bit of a stretch in terms of "orignal content". I would prefer if your videos would be different than the other channels I'm subscribed to. Thanks.

Really? well this is something that I had to do because I will create a component like UFPS in Unreal, actually I read how to do this in an article and in a book. But if you search for it you will see that there are a couple of tutorials covering this exactly like I did it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/npKkZ6mPnMd4rZI kzbin.info/www/bejne/sJyzZGqNhM6ortU because this is just the way to do it, I think the more interesting stuff like aiming will come in the next steps. I didn't want to copy this and it was just the first step for my full body FPS tutorial and I hope you will still follow it, although you might find similar ones.
