I'm actually going to make a video explaining my views on near vs far wall passing. I think there are certain advantages to either side and both can be tough to defend. My suggestion is typically which side feels more natural. For some reason the far wall always felt more natural to do wall passes when I was started and I stuck with it. But since i've learned to pass on any wall, though i do primarily concentrate on the far wall. I'll make that video so you can see what i mean.

It's about timing and having the 3 bar slightly tilted forward. But the more you practice, it becomes second nature to catch the pass regardless of the speed and power.

Thanks dude! Awsome vid as always! :) Btw I´ve finally learned how to spin the snake shot fast enough without letting the handle go... Now woking on the lateral speed. Joined the local foosball club which really helps to :)

My man Zeke! Love hearing your thoughts on the game. I've been fooling around with the far wall a bit... great to hear your thoughts. Hope to see you out here for Colo State in November. For those that don't know... Zeke is a pro's pro. Competing the right way for a long time.

Your style of things explained and shown is so great - catering both a newbie and and more advanced guys..speically on mental game. 2 q's. 1) that bump you talk at 7-46 - an opponent can call it as distraction, even with no jarring caused. Thogh seems in the US you don't care for some jarring at offensive move? 2) on 5 bar you tend not to trap the ball but rather re-direct the move lateral and then stop. Do you purpusefully let it go? rather try to silence it completely with first touch? Tnx!

Thanks for the tips man, gonna go practice with my friend Dusty Bambenek!

Just ask Dusty to let you score once in a while, cause she is a brick wall and rarely lets anybody score!

Lol, there's no letting me, I earn my goals! But its hit or miss blocking her snake shot some days..

Isn't the far wall bank pass the same thing as the slingshot, just with the 5 bar instead of the 2 or 3 bar?

This is great stuff, but could you show how you deal with a tough defense? For me when the other player has their toes forward and just following the ball, it's hard to hit that angle. One way to deal with that is using your quick wall as you showed, or the middle man brush--but I'd like to see how to brush the ball to get yourself out of those situations. In these videos you were giving yourself quite a bit of space, is this how you recommend to train? Thanks!

LEBATO there is always a way through. If you have many options to pass then it is easier against different defences

Waiting on 3 men bar with soft hand and 45 degree angles.

keep a loose grip on the 3 man, and let the catching man recoil slightly as it's catching.

Zeke, in your opinion what's the more difficult side for defending a brushing/passing series (Far or near side)? i.e: which side should I focus on?

Does the speed of your passes you are using in this video match the speed you use when playing in tournaments?
@zekefooser11 жыл бұрын
I didn't, i have another 10 options that I didn't show ;)
