1. she is real, not "unrealistic" 2. she's not the universal "body standard" reference, she just has a body. Getting mad at her is like the equivalent of me going to Henry Cavill's instagram and getting mad at him for setting "toxic face standards"

I been working out and exercising after finishing chemo and two surgeries. I am more healthy than ever, despite having stage 4 cancer. How well I am responding to treatment, doctors think I will live years. I need to do this as some of the medication can cause bone and muscle loss if I don’t stay active. I refuse to give up. I want to live the best life possible, no matter how long or short that may be.

When I was a child, doctors said I'd have severe asthma for the remainder of my life. They said normal function would require regular medicine and that, something like athleticism was going to be incredibly limited. Well, after being a Cat 1 cyclist for many years and completely medicine free, I can say that doctors are at best fallible humans. But after the Trump warp speed poison injections of 2021 which the majority of Doctors recommended, I can confidently say that the majority of doctors are worse than simply fallible humans. In fact, this average human has first hand proof that doctors are functionally stupid. All the knowledge in the world is worth nothing if you don't apply it in a manner in which it helps. I say all this to tell you, sorry about the cancer, but doctors are wrong so frequently that your "I refuse to give up attitude" is exactly right. But not only right, it is the strongest mentality one could have earned. They give you years to live, you show them you're going to live the rest of your life.

How is it unrealistic when she's literally showing a realistic body and just glad she's feeling and looking better? That's not toxic. Bloody hell. "It's toxic" has just become another way to say "I'm offended." Edit: idk how I got "uneducated" to be autocorrected from trying to type "a realistic body" or whatever variation I was originally trying to put.

I think people see a thin slim framed woman who is happy with her body and assume that she's saying "everyone should strive to look like this." But that isn't what she's saying. That is a bias that people have in their own minds. What she is saying is "this isn what my body looks like after several months of healthy eating and exercise and I am really happy with it". Your body might not look the same after healthy eating and exercise, and that is okay. Everyone is different, but if you find someone sharing their own results offenseive, or are bothered by people liking/being happy for them about it, then that is a problem with you, not them

People are throwing their own toxicity at a girl who wanted to change themselves for the better. They can't do it themselves or especially don't want to so they call it unrealistic. No, it is realistic. I think being so clueless about healthy eating and what normal exercise is that isn't some extreme video tape sold online(Insanity anyone?) or Biggest Loser is causing all of this especially. This could easily be taught in schools, but they keep saying no. I wonder why... (sarcasm)

Managing to look like that in just one summer probably means that she didnt have, very bad eating habits at all. Its possibly the only way that could have happend. But she still looked very healthy so good for her.

What you and the people in the comment section are saying is true, but I would argue that at least a part of the reason for the criticism is that many people don't even know what a 'regular' body can look like. We have been fed insane extremes since we were old enough to consume media; it's a part of the reason why eating disorders are on the rise. To many people this could look like a model-level, unachievable figure, and I can bet my bottom dollar that there are people out there who would call her too fat still. There's also the problem with the internet's addiction for manufactured outrage and the disdain for people who actually seem to be doing good (although those would be in the "you're still too fat" camp), but that's besides the point. We should really be able to just go: "That's great!" and move on.

I disagree with the idea that this girl’s video is toxic. However, how about film yourself less, yeah? If you’re posting it online, you’re asking for attention. I think having your own private win is awesome, but sharing it with the world is both asking for criticism, and is just attention seeking behavior, two things we could do with a little less of in the world. People have become too comfortable with documenting everything. I worry that the more people like this girl become comfortable with it, the more it just turns into self obsession, like with most fitness gurus.

I don't even agree with the idea of, "Lying about PED's will make people feel the need to take PED's." I've never had the urge to take PED's, until about 6 months - 1 year ago. And the reason is that people are obsessing over the whole, "I'm owning the fact that I'm unnatural." Having the complete understanding that, "I will absolutely never look like that person, literally no matter how hard I try." Is unsettling. Fake natty's never made me feel like I needed to take PED's.
