These women are awesome. Putting themselves in danger with no sign of intimidation! I also really appreciate how rare it is that they are shown support by men in what would be, stereotypically put, a man's position.

I immensely hope the group will increase their numbers, as the current amount is to me not enough to help monitor the lands day and night. The Black Mambas also need to acquire more supplies, such as food, water, weapons, bullet proof clothing and security surveillance. If a fundraiser is created to aid The Black Mambas, I will donate to help. What is sad and disgusting is that if the rhinos become extinct, the markets would request another animal to be slain to help with a erroneous cure.

Kudos to these brave women and their trainers for taking on such a dangerous job. It's an absolute shame and disgrace to see what people will do for the love of money. It was really difficult to watch; especially to see Rhinos left alive after such brutality. The buyers, middle men, corrupt government officials need to be dealt with just as severely if not more, than the poachers who do this, they're just as guilty of the crime.

Watch the men in the community that brag and show cash all of a sudden, become flashy with things....more likely than not, they would be your poachers and perpetrators killing those beautiful rhinos. Just sit and watch. When someone doesn't have much and suddenly come into a "windfall" he is your guy.

@nickwalker4936
@nickwalker4936 3 жыл бұрын
The saddest thing about all of this is how necessity forges behavior. Park Rangers in North America act as a sort of police with the funny hats and the khaki pants and the badges, but out in the bush in Africa, Park Rangers wear camouflage and have to carry rifles and act as an armed force of sorts. The fact that poachers can be so cruel and aggressive as to warrant the need for decent folk to don military-grade kit says a lot about how things have been. I would have loved to do something like this, but I continuously wonder if I’d even be making a difference because many people who sign onto humanitarian efforts only do it to create an experience for themselves and end up not making any impact at all. Alas, wasn’t able to join the military because of my scoliosis and surgery, so I doubt I’ll qualify for this line of duty, so I will have to continue supporting from the sidelines. Bless you all.

Constellations, you are utterly correct! Also, we need to be totally aware as to how this extreme poverty in Africa, actually began. European colonization! Europe often goes into to "solve" issues that began with their own imperialistic greed!

Chinese import demands these raw resources, how dare you introduce European colonization, currently the only people who help us. Colinization was bad, but it brought technology to us. What have the Chinese given us?
@Boxingbear
@Boxingbear 4 жыл бұрын
Its not just that reason alone though. European imperialism isn't what is holding things back today. It is corruption. When was the last time you heard about an African leader who wasn't corrupt ? One country in Africa could grow enough food to feed that entire continent. Western countries come in and corrupt the leaders and exploit the resources. But at the end of the day the African people are themselves to blame. Mandela stood up against Aparthied but that continent needs to get its shit together and start running things properly. They need 4 or 5 more Mandelas to show the way.
