Many notorious serial killers have admitted to abusing animals first before moving on to human victims. In the end, it’s not an interest in the animals but an interest in causing a living thing pain. That urge often becomes so strong that killing or abusing humans is inevitable. This kid is very likely a psychopath. Another example of a similar case where this happened is the escalation of the Luka Magnotta case (the documentary ‘don’t fuck with cats’ covers the whole thing) in which he started with videos of suffocating cats on his KZbin till he eventually filmed himself stabbing a young man to death called Jun Lin.

While yes, if the coin landed on heads three times, Randy would have indeed killed himself. HOWEVER, what not many people tend to bring up is how Randy had planned to kill his parents and THEN himself had the coin landed on heads three times. Either way, people were going to die, regardless of the coin's outcome. The only difference was if this was going to end in a murder-suicide or a mass shooting.

I suffer from Major Depression, but this time of year just intensifies it to a point that I can't even put on my "happy" or "functional" mask. I’m from the small town in Pennsylvania where Randy murdered his victims. I remember Victoria Brong, going to high school with her. Every time I go into that supermarket, it never fully feels comfortable. There’s always this looming dark energy from the terrible loss that happened there. it being such a small town, it also feels so surreal when KZbinrs cover this story.

There seems to be a recurring trope with spree/serial killers. 1)Verbally, emotionally, or physically abusive or dismissive parents. 2)Being bullied in school. 3)Mental illness caused by the abuse/neglect or was born with it. We need to stop bullying in schools & comfort people with low self-esteem to prevent future tragedies.

Also, you can have a terrible childhood and become a wonderful adult. Most people with mental illness, or a bad childhood do not go on to hurt anyone.

Good luck. My brother recently marched against a n anti-bullying measure in Colorado. When I asked why, he responded weird children shouldn’t be allowed to be in school with normal children. When I pointed out teenage suicide rates, and the REASON for trying to reduce bullying, he launched into a tirade about deviants are sinners, they are going to hell. If they’re bullied and commit suicide, they are going to hell. Therefore it doesn’t matter. People should strive for fitting in, and not being different according to him. I swear he was dropped as a kid.

Go to fucking therapy. It doesn't matter what others have done to you it's how you react to it that's a problem. His family should have 302d him forced him to go into a mental health clinic to get the help he clearly needed. I was bullied but I didn't take it out on people that didn't deserve it. I learned how to fight back and went to therapy to help deal with the emotions I had.

I'm glad you covered the case of Randy Stair/Andrew Blaze. I discovered it almost 2 years ago in a video about lost media by a KZbinr named Savox and I've been obsessed with it ever since, searching for videos on the topic here on KZbin and stuff. It's such a tragedy. Very very sad. If only Randy/Andrew got the help he/she needed... None of the 4 victims deserved to die that late night/early morning. I hope they are all at peace. And I think it goes without saying, but I will say it regardless: just because I feel bad for Randy/Andrew for everything he/she dealt with and struggled with mentally, does NOT mean I condone his/her actions.

it hurts me knowing randy’s story. i know what he did was wrong but i can’t help but feel sadness for him. he was suffering with things that he would constantly get bullied for and for him his only escape was by milling himself. he took lives of others but i do believe that if he would’ve gotten the help he so desperately needed they would all be here today including him. it’s a very sad story. shows what mental health can really take control of you and make you believe things that are wrong to be right. may they all rest in peace.

Ngl I kinda like the random insertions of positive mental health statements. Makes it easier to sit through mentions of sexual violence, murder and other disturbing themes. I've unsubscribed from many dark and mysterious channels cuz I come for the thrillz of tha horrorz and stuff, but couldn't handle certain things mentioned. I love Mr. Ballens content, and think he's an amazing creator content-wise and presentation-wise but unfortunately he is one of those examples. Following these themes up with positive messages about mental health really makes it easier to deal with the more difficult topics. Thank you for that.

Dude, ngl I'm sitting here, struggling to finish my first assessment/task of the university I just started and then the keep going portion started. I'm working in a classroom for students with extreme behavior issues, leading to me getting physically assaulted by 1st and 2nd graders (hit, stabbed with pencils/scissors, bit, etc) daily while still trying to get my bachelor's degree. I love my students but I'm emotionally drained all the time. I've already considered dropping out or changing degrees multiple times. I just really needed that reassurance to keep with it. Hearing the woman in the first story say how people told her what she “should have done” and her questioning and doubting herself literally made me mad and sad at the same time. That’s the shit I give myself as a CSA victim. Let me explain a little something for those who have never been in a life threatening/traumatic experience. The fight/flight/freeze/please response, as you’re all aware, comes from the survival part of your brain. When you’re in a traumatic/life threatening situation your frontal lobe (which is responsible for critical thinking and other things) temporarily disconnects and so your “survival brain” takes full control. What response you go into depends on a lot of things like the situation and whether you’ve been in a similar situation. Telling someone who’s been through something like any of the people in this video and people like me what they “should have” done is fucking repulsive. Your brain acted in a way that would save you. Freezing in a situation is completely normal and natural and shouldn’t be shamed. Sorry I went on a tangent, but people who have the audacity to try to tell people what they “should have” done genuinely boils my blood. (Also sorry if I got some biology shit wrong or didn’t explain it correctly, I’m just an idiot who happens to have been in a lot of fight/flight/freeze/please situations.)

Also I guarantee the "they should have done X" crowd are either: perpetrators themselves looking to shift guilt via proxy, or they would simply react the exact same way, or perhaps in a less helpful way for themselves.

A lot of people sadly don't take it serious when someone says they will commit suicide. But research clearly shows that most suicidal people talk about taking their lives several times before doing it. I hope these kind of videos rase awareness for that.

Andrew Blaze didn’t choose to spare Kristen, you’re leaving out 2 small details, he downed an entire bottle of Benadryl just before it started, and Diphenhydramine dosages higher than 150 in most average sized humans is a hallucinogenic, and an entire bottle is agony leading to OD, he was that dead set on not leaving that store, but he was afraid he’d back out of the final step he ensured if the shotty didn’t happen an OD would, but he was seen staring at his reflection in a cooler door, seemingly trying to figure out if it was another person or him, and he might’ve not actually seen Kristen, cuz your vision gets blurry and you start seeing stars & things appear to move on their own, you get paranoid af, I remember doing it a few times for hallucination effect, and I had my head hanging out my window for over an hr without moving, cuz I was sure I heard someone outside talking, I armed myself and everything it’s wicked stuff that isn’t fun for flying or d**ng.
