Sounds as though we purchased our about the same time you did. Lol I cooked with JUST the jell, I now do the charcoal. Yes, it is a good little cooker, we will be using it today.😅😊

I received one of these for Christmas. luckily I have the receipt going to get a hold of the company who is based in Gainesville Georgia. I had some shipping damage the bottom was dented near the legs on the bottom where the batteries go. And they left out one crucial part the lid for the charcoal container. I’m sure they’ll take care of me. I’ll have to call them tomorrow. And they shipped the wrong color it was supposed to be gray and I got black. this one came with a cover it’s mostly glass the handle has a wingnut on the inside of the lid to remove the rather large handle which makes it so you can’t stack it in the bag without taking the handle off kind of a pain in the butt!!! Looking forward to trying this thing!

Ordered one just like yours from The Shopping Channel on sale, can’t wait to take it to the beach. One could possibly find a large lid in a thrift store or just use aluminum foil.

What’s the max temp you can get out of this thing.

Honestly not sure. Never put a thermometer on it. My guess is around 400-450 because it cooks a baked potato in about 45mins to an hour.

Not hot enough for me. I use Kingsford Match Light charcoal and split the briquettes in two for smaller chunks. With the fan turned all the way up, it will cook burgers and small chicken but it takes way too long. 25 minutes. No wind, level surface. The product needs a bigger charcoal chamber

How strong is the fan? Mine makes noise but i almost don't feel it on my hand. I just got it, so I don't know if the product is defective or me.

I don’t feel mine much but you can tell with the charcoal when the fan is on vs off. Glows more red!

@@MostTimers I have one and can expand - you're putting the lighter fluid on the briquettes, which creates those huge flames - you're not supposed to do that! You put the lighter fluid gel UNDER the charcoal basket on the little metal donut plate. Then you light the gel (careful, it burns hot but the flames are not very visible), put the charcoal basket on, crank up the fan, then the charcoal catches embers almost instantly (you can put the grate back on right away and you're up to temp in 3-4 minutes). There should be zero flame because you're not meant to light the charcoal on fire. The lighter gel is just meant to heat up the charcoal to ember temp. Look up videos on the "lotusgrill" which is how they market it in europe, plenty of tutorials to do it the right way. Here ar some examples: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pKucenuBqp6ffsk kzbin.info/www/bejne/hZ-2eqeMlJWAnbs By the way, you can also use unscented hand sanitizer as replacement for the gel fluid, it's the exact same thing - ethanol and a gelling agent.

@@tonyortega8686 interesting! We actually do not use lighter fluid at all and use Match Light brand. The flames die down fairly quickly so I don’t mind especially since we don’t need to carry anything extra besides the charcoal and grill.

############################# When used correctly it is really amazing. ############################# This is a fan-aided grill, not a vertical flame-thrower. Fuel lasts very long and coal cartridge longer when used correctly. Should not see excessive flames bellowing out. Originally, this is designed for well ventilated indoor use also. The use of the fan, is the reason for no need for orange flame startup.
