I am "Dr. David Faux" in the above "Psychic Family Roots" segment. This version with Robert Stack is original, the "real McCoy", and infinitely better than the radically edited one where Dennis Farina replaces Robert Stack. The latter has been radically edited and proves the point that "there ain't nothing like the real thing". I had my video camera with me and so have hours of behind the scenes snippets taken during the two days of filming my clip in San Diego - 25 years ago!

These episodes have been condensed and repackaged also. A lot of the episodes are not how they originally aired, although I agree they are much better than the Farina episodes.

@@Romans8-9 I got a note in my e-mail (but do not see it here) that you asked a question as to whether Robert Stack pronounced my name correctly. Indeed yes. The spelling of the surname in Yorkshire is Fawkes but same name. I avoid noting this on 5 November (Guy Fawkes / Faux Day). The surname started as Falke but morphed in East Anglia to Faulkes and Faux. Most just pronounce the name as "Fox" but in Norfolk they at one time could easily detect the difference between Fox and Faux. Cheers.

I get very irritated when I see comments like this one. My mother was sixteen when she was struck by a drunk driver, which shattered her body, landed her in a six-month coma where they said she'd die or be a lifelong vegetable...while she did made a near-complete physical recovery (or I'd not be here!), she DID have a case of complete retrograde amnesia and had to restart from the beginning. It took decades for her to get any glimpses of that old person back, and most of it will never return. She recalled to me how terrifying it was to come awake like that and not understand anything or anyone around you; it was confusing and she was very afraid. She was very fortunate to have so many siblings and a set of parents who went about helping her relearn everything and, perhaps, it helped her re-establish family bonds with, as she put it, "a bunch of strangers." She's a walking medical miracle to have made such a complete recovery aside from that amnesia and some body scarring. You can figure, then, why I get so annoyed by uneducated, assumption-laden comments like this one...

I too have a hard time believing that his body could have just stayed there for 5 days without anybody noticing him. And for anyone wondering how the body could have been transported there- IUP has these big laundry carts that Residence Life/Greeks were able to check out and use for transporting items across campus. I myself also felt like I am on the precipice on losing my tenuous connection to reality and take on something far more sinister almost unworldy. It’s an overwhelming feeling of despair that nothing to do seems to work. Something as simple as picking up a spoon and keep dropping it inexplicably or tying your shoes, something you’ve done for years effortlessly suddenly became insurmountable difficult for some reason and you can’t understand why. What the update didn't say is that the private investigation agency handling the case didn't discover this until a year and a half after this story aired so when Walter found out, Philip had been gone the last seven years. While he had gone by his adoptive name, Philip lived in Central Falls, Rhode Island, less than 50 miles from Walter. And 41 years old only? I wonder what happened. And it would be a miracle if someone in her reported state managed to get back to the main road and then be abducted(also still a pretty remote area and it was really late). While trying to make it to the top, they brothers are throwing empty kegs down the steps . Rumor is he was hit the head. Then mysteriously the sig tau house burned to the ground. N was disbanded N until I was up at IUP from 96-01. The fraternity has made a comeback as sig tau gamma. . He had stubble on his face, it rained days before he was found but somehow he was dry , he had no food in his stomach, no alcohol in his system. He had no bumps n bruises u would likely have if he fell down all them cement steps then Cyril wecht (however you spell it) Concluded he had a skull fracture and that was it I heard that fracture was caused by him getting hit In the head w something that was thrown down the steps playing donkey Kong. .

Regarding Kristi's obsessions, how much of this was obvious to her friends and loved ones, and how gradual or sudden were the signs?
@newhorizonsintuitiveguidance2 ай бұрын
#1. We are souls having an earthly experience. WE ARE NOT OUR BODIES! Why is it so hard for "human beings" to understand this when death occurs every day! #2. When our love ones pass over to the other side they are not dead. Our souls are eternal! You will see them again and recognized them! Many of them chose to be our guardian angels. The Holy Trinity approves of them being our guardian angels. #3. The best way to talk to your love ones is to pray for them and talk to them as if they are still in this world. They can hear you and see you if they have decided to be your guardian angel. Be prepared for some to give you specific signs that only the two of you share. No need to be afraid so don't freak out. They want you to know how much they love you and that's why they are watching over you.

I always wonder what Robert Stack's personal opinions were on some of these. Like, did he read the scripts with paranormal content and go, "Wow, these guys are whack jobs...but it's a paycheck"? Or was he a total conspiracy theorist? I can see it going either way.

I was in the same fraternity as Jack Davis Jr. and went to IUP some twenty odd years later. I had heard that jack was actually placed in a closet for a couple days, before he was moved to the stairwell. I was under the impression he really died from drinking but that would not match Dr. Wechts thesis.

If she had brush underneath and around the vehicle, the heat from the transmission housing from throwing it in and out of gear trying to break loose could have easily started a fire.

Kristi is very likely dead. She was probably killed years ago by a predator while hitchhiking around the country. She apparently made it to Utah and back to California within a year of her disappearance. I doubt that she survived much longer than that. Hitchhiking was common at the time and so was the killing of hitchhikers.

Those Genealogists are just short changing their natural intellect. The human mind is still being studied, and we may never know it's full potential. The 2 men most likely made the information and the answers locked inside their mind, and by looking at the papers and looking at that painting, it was simply unlocked. Why does everything have to be supernatural. And the woman with the ballon, that's just coincidence, another thing that just seems to be overlooked. Seems like when anything is too much of a coincidence it's either sinister or supernatural.
