Update on Kathy Page: Unresolved. Kathy's family sued Steve in civil court, claiming that he was responsible for her death. Her mother, Dorothy, testified that she had seen Steve vigorously washing clothes on the morning after her murder. The following day, her family witnessed him cleaning the carpet in their home. He claimed that he had spilled grease on it. Sherry also testified that he had abused Kathy. Neighbors also stated that they heard loud arguments and banging on the walls coming from their home. Steve admitted that he did not want Kathy to be autopsied. Witnesses testified that he was left-handed; the autopsy determined that Kathy had most likely been strangled by a left-handed person. In 1999, after two previous mistrials, Steve was found financially liable for Kathy's death in the civil court. He was ordered to pay $200,000 to her family. He was also later convicted of repeatedly desecrating her grave. He is still living in Texas; he has yet to be charged criminally for her death. Tragically, their daughter, Monica, died in 2011 at the age of 28. Their daughter Erin remains alive today. In 2018, this case was profiled on Cold Justice. They interviewed dozens of witnesses in it. They also found a new witness who reported seeing Steve walking away from the ditch where Kathy's car was found on the night of her death. The witness did not come forward sooner because he was with his mistress at the time. Steve was also interviewed; he continued to deny any involvement in this case. Despite the new evidence, the D.A. did not feel that there was enough evidence to prosecute him. However, investigators are continuing to look into new leads and hope to present this case again. unsolvedmysteries.fandom.com/wiki/Kathy_Page

While on the other hand, Steve Page is vile, vulgar, with no honor, values or decency. For those of you questioning/doubting the walk ins (my own theory) - is it possible they’re suffering late onset Dissociative Identity Disorder (aka Multiple Personality Disorder)?
@susannahv72194 жыл бұрын
I think it is highly probable that a kind of mental health issue, likely trauma-based, is at play in at least some of these cases, however it is generally accepted in the psychiatric field that DID does not occur 'late onset'. It's a disorder that occurs when normal childhood development is disturbed by ongoing traumatic events, usually between ages 1-5. It is not uncommon, however, that many adults are not diagnosed until much later in life. But the people highlighted in the walk-in segment are not at all typical of people with DID, which is very disabling, certainly in the periods before longterm treatments can have any affect.

I'm half Korean, have a Korean mom and white dad (Italian decent). They say Sunny liked to party and hang with the wrong people. I think she was more into that and decided she didn't want to be tied down to a family. I imagine the hardest part about finding her is that she is Asian, and you can't just say I'm going to go there, and probably hard for a detective too. It was crazy she sent dresses all those years later, and I'm sure part of her misses her daughter, but overall I think she doesn't want to be found. Sad story.

Many of these people never expected their personal experiences to be exposed for public scrutiny and judged for “your entertainment”. They deserve recognition for their courage in sharing their narratives, so let’s be decent human beings and show them respect.
