My dad took me to see this movie when I was really young. The plot had played out so many times on my train sets and train toys. That’s just what you do when you are 8 years old and still obsessed with trains. Seeing all those train fantasies actually play out on the big screen was a dream come true. So let me get this straight. After pulling the 2 SD40's in front to slow down the train, they switch the track to allow it to take the siding, but directly after the 777 hits the 7346, the 2 locomotives take the siding but somehow magically the 777 and rest of train continue down the main? There wouldn't have been enough time to switch the tracks back given the distance between the two consist of locomotives. If the director had any knowledge of how railroads work they would know it's not realistic for the 777 to not take the siding as well, for trains only go where the rails take them. Furthermore locomotives do not just spontaneously combust when they fall on to their side.

Perhaps he could have stopped or turned off the locomotives, left 7375 and walked to the triple 7. Once there he could have stopped the locomotive without worries since 7375 and 7346 being turned off and stopped would not go very far, ¿right?

On this movie it feels like the 777 has a mond of his own and it is trying to make it to the end of the railway.

I feel like that explosion was added in because this movie was produced by platinum dunes, which was founded by Michael bay, and we all know Michael bay loves explosions.

Yeah, this IS a movie, but there are some notable issues. 1. Locomotive glass is some tough material 2. The locomotives would need to be moving way faster than that to explode in a fireball 3. The track switcher... where do I start? 3a. First of all, ONLY Judd's locomotives get pulled into the siding, 777 should've also gotten pulled in. (No indication that track was switched back from the siding.) 3b. There would be NO way that the track COULD even switch back to the mainline in time. 777 would end up getting swiped as the track switched back to the mainline. *CinemaSins Ding*

Because of its weight and speed, the 777 managed to disable the switch and push through it or the dispatchers must have set the switch back onto the mainline.

Well- They didn't have to do all that drama, They could make someone stand at the back side of the two engines in 0:45 and after getting close, the guy could carefully go to the other side and get in the cab, stop it and that's it-

So what I learned from this is that when you are planning on stopping a train, you use another train and bounce into it multiple times instead of slowly easing off of the throttle, and then when you go off track going at what looks to be a whopping 20 mph, you'll flip over and explode. Got it, also trains roar like animals.
