A long time ago we pitched a Sonic The Hedgehog take on the Leap Day format. Sadly the SEGA gods did not see the potential. But we did make this mobile Demo and we liked the mechanic a lot so decided to keep it for Super Leap Day
We’d still love to explore this idea of a one button Sonic game one day if SEGA was willing.

Not gonna lie, I think this has potential. Especially if it featured multiple playable characters with their own gimmicks. For example, if someone like Shadow was in this, he could warp vertically/horizontally to help reach your target sooner?

only problem i see is sonic don't visually look fast like i don't mean it need to be rapid but it don't have the feel of speed like when you fall in a game sure is a small drop but fuck me that was quick

What you are seeing is a demo. There almost certainly would have been faster parts added if it were fleshed out. But we feel the original sonic also was about this speed a lot of the time with sudden bursts of faster loops and corkscrews.

Neither. We made a pitch to make a sonic game. Some of the curves gameplay got added to SuperLeapDay. They are quite different feeling though to each other.

It was a pitch we made to try and make a Sonic game on mobile. Unfortunately it was unsuccessful. We aren't going to make this without permission from sega to officially do so.

As we have tried to explain dozens of times. Nitromes Touchy app was removed as the technology used to power it was made by Brass monkey a company which unfortunately went bust. We do not own the tech so cant just keep it for ourselves. Sometimes this happens and is just unfortunate that there company no longer exists.
