Don't let a bad back set you back from enjoying yourself out on the trail.
There isn't much worse than a really screwed up back.
It hurts to shower.
You're scared to bend down and tie your shoes.
And if you carry a heavy pack on the trail you know you're gonna feel it as soon as you head out down the trail!
Welp, one thing that always makes a positive impact is movement.
You see, when you move your body, your brain responds well to that because it likes to know where you are in the world and that you have control over it.
Pain is an action signal when your brain feels threatened, like when you lose good movement skills.
This exercise is what I call STANDING CAT TO COW.
It's a great full spine mobility exercise that can really help open up and decompress areas where you may be having a lot of trouble.
Remember to breath, and try to move the entirety of your spine, tail bone to head, while maintaining your center of gravity.
