I so adore your podcast. I recall working on the hill at UCSF Medical Center/Parnussus…..walked from the Sunset district, the first summer I needed a “real” coat. So used to Stanislaus County and the dry heat .. the dry conditions that are so favorable to growing Peaches / Almonds on my Fathers ranch. Now…. I wished I could have that heat as SF was so cold. When it burned off the afternoon walk was coat in hand. Such good memories of meeting my husband there, ( almost 40 years married). I really like the cardigan on you. Your knits are so nice and love your planning. We have 4 grandkids and I have knitted each their first blanket, sweaters… communion sweater….. the hats I knit them really get the wear . I find better bang for my knitting buck in my handknits for them in those hats. They really do wear these. They live in MO. Have a wonderful summer… travel times…. And knitting times! I look to see your next video. Love your honesty!

Hi - I just recently stumbled upon your podcast and was so happy to hear you live in Oakland as well! It was fun hearing you describe the summers here - I am loving the morning fog! Out of all the projects and options you discussed, you appear to be most excited about doing your own rainbow version of the Lento. I think you should follow your passion. If you’re still feeling undecided I would put the yarn piles together, and see the pile of yarn that you just can’t stop looking at and keep returning to. So happy to hear you’re going to Rhinebeck! I went last year and plan to go again this year. It’s a feast for your eyes, so make sure you bring a good backpack to put all your finds in, and don’t forget to try the donuts they melt in your mouth, and are amazing.

Hi Lily, greetings from Melbourne, Australia. Love your beautiful knits and colours. And your choice of different yarns. Just wondering whether you have a yarn budget - many of the yarns you use are pretty pricey, especially when factoring in postage - or is it just that I am paying in Australian dollars😄..

Thank you so much, Alex! I do have a yarn budget that I (kind of) try to stick to. I also fully recognize my privilege in the more expensive yarn choices that I sometimes make.
