I'm an agnostic leaning atheist, materialist, and seeing deeply thought out passionate evangelists really discuss how to improve things is a breath of fresh air. Can't wait to see more.

Thank you to you and to Dr. Uszynski for this episode. It really helped me to continue thinking about critical race theory. In my younger days, I could simply dismiss it as "one of those crazy liberal theories." In more recent years, I'd like to think I've become a bit more open-minded. I've been recently trying to formulate my own position on the topic based on the principles that I hold, and not to simply hold a knee-jerk evaluation based on the traditional reaction of my tribe. I had been typing up reactions and thoughts as I mulled this episode over, hoping to share some insight or perspective in the comments section. Unfortunately, my prose currently reads like the disconnected thoughts of a madman, and I have no idea when, if ever, I'll be able to make sense of it all. So, in lieu of contributing meaningful discussion, I'll just have to say "thanks" and "this has really made me think."

Critical theory, including CRT, is explicitly anti-liberal. Liberalism is seen as a vehicle of oppression to the conspiratorial ideologues that push CRT. This is standard in intro books to CRT. Why? They'll say because it allows for "inequity" (it's not communist), but in reality it's just because they want power. That's why they don't debate or reason with people, because critical thinking and dialogues are more tools of oppression from the White Male Devil and are ultimately just games of power. DEI is everywhere not because far leftists believe in freedom pertaining to hiring, admissions, etc., but because they are AGAINST freedom. That's why you have people like Kendi, in his best-selling "How to be Antiracist," saying that racial discrimination is THE SOLUTION to racism and how one can be "anti-racist." To be clear, this is an overtly anti-liberal ideology. I know by "liberal" you may have just meant left wing, but this is a Leftist ideology that typically views white liberals as the greatest of offenders (see DiAngelo's "White Fragility").

The operative question is: Do you support using government force to implement racial discrimination? All the rest is academic.

CRT obviates the need for any thought, word or act of racism as proof of their presumed verdict. All they need is their preferred race measuring less favorably than another. Regardless of the cause: they declare their favored race to be victims of the other. Then they would use real government enforced discrimination in response to their presumed discrimination; altering laws, policies and practices to favor their preferred race. All for the stated purpose of forcibly making the measurements between races identical. The operative question is whether you support using government force to implement racial discrimination. All the rest is academic. My answer is no.

I liked this episode. It wasn't a knee jerk reaction to critical race theory and Dr. Uszynski didn't get conspiratorial and didn't toss around slogans and jargon.
