KornIn's timeline was set in the 80s where homophobia is too rampant. Coupled with Korn's family being members of the mafia and their parents finding out about their relationship, they're basically star-crossed lovers. That scene was when they escaped to their shared condo after getting chased by their parents from their date at a restaurant. They had nowhere to go tbh, it's as if that room was the very last place they could go to and they were cornered. It suddenly rained hard and thunderstorms came+kornin's suicide which is the reason why pharm (in's reincarnation) is scared of loud, unexpected sounds.
