I met Lisa Marie twice. She called me her guardian Angel both times. On the Phil Donahue show her mother said she thought she was seeing a ghost she called her guardian angel. When Elvis passed I cried every night for weeks and prayed to be her guardian angel. I had dreams that I was comforting this girl I had never met, and we would talk. Twelve years later we met, We talked a few minutes. I told her I would cry myself to sleep comforting her, without hesitation she says, “You’re my guardian Angel.” She recognized me.

Wow, too bad she didn't seek you out before she passed, maybe she could have gotten with you and you could have protected her, and maybe we would not be mourning her agonizing loss.

@@dougdickason The same group of people live their lives together here, then straggle into the next life where the "feast", or the party, continues as we all gather again. Lisa Marie had a very good message about grief and loss. "Gutted". No matter how grateful, for what was, and for the love that remains, there's a point where it's just not enough to sustain a person. "They", society speaks as if it is, but Idt that losing the will to live is a choice. RIP Lisa Marie. You "did good" sister.

Another great video, thanks Ashley! I've only been there twice, passing through in 1975 and stopping with my sister and brother to take pictures and film at the gate with an 8mm camera and touring the grave site in 1981. Never been in the house. How awesome that must feel! I need to get back up there to do the full tour of Graceland while there is still time. @Ronald Dupre, If you don' t mind,---please tell us about that concert. Tell us how many months b4 he passed? How did he seem? Did he have any lyrics he forgot? Did he interact with the fans? Did he appear to be winded, need more breaks? Could you plainly understand him when singing and speaking? Take us through that concert, the last year of his life!!

@@ashleysadventures I enjoyed what you shared in your video. I' d enjoy hearing more about history of Graceland. What year was it built? Tell us more about the 1st owner,---was that the "Dentist"? Did he have it built? How many acres is the lot? I was only there once in 2006. The picture of Elvis sitting in back yard,---looks like house was showing some age on it then already. In video taken @ Lisa Marie' s Public Memorial Service, where Austin is shown walking in to Services, that view of Graceland must have been from the back, where Memorial Gardens are. But the back looks so much like the front w/columns. So that addition was when those columns were added to the back? Did the house have any other names b4 Elvis bought and named it in 1958? You spoke of Elvis having the jungle room added on,---what year was that addition?

I've always said you have an eagle eye Ashley and you prove it all the time! Loved the info and photos in this video. You make me go back and look at my photo's to see things. My issue is that was my first and only time at Graceland and I was in such awe to get really good detailed photos, plus it was crowded. So I am thankful to you and all you do to bring all this to us. The "well" never runs dry luckily for all of us fans. But it takes special people to bring it to us, so thank you for that! The oil painting on the stairs is actually based a photograph taken while he was in the army. Disc jockey Rocky Frisco of KOME 1300 in Tulsa decided to ride (PEDAL) a bicycle from Tulsa 500+ miles to the military base Killeen Texas as a PR stunt to interview Elvis. When he arrived, Elvis got out of his uniform and put on white pants and that white ruffle shirt for the photo marking the meeting. Elvis (aka Mr. Cadillac) or the boy within Elvis, was so enamored with new-fangled wide bicycle CHROME FENDER (not a rim) the disc jockey decided to gift it to him. It was better than having the latest iPhone at the time to have a wide fender, back then and this was the first Elvis had seen. That chrome fender was such a big HUGE deal, he wanted that oil painting to remind him of that giddy feeling he had when he first saw it. Just like a boy would have on Christmas seeing the new fender on a bike. Read about Rocky Frisco and how he would go on to play with the best. He and Elvis had a jam session for the history books that day. Oh that photo ended up as a publicity still postcard and mailed out to many in the listening area of the radio station. Can you imagine having an original? To mark that event a photo, that ended up an oil painting, that ended up greeting everyone that entered Graceland and STILL is hanging to greet all who enters. And that was Elvis' real hair color. He died his hair black because he admired the hair color of Roy Orbison. I think it was RO.

Ashley, if you could behind that locked upstairs door right now, I believe you would see furniture (possible covered in drop cloth) and not much else. Elvis' belongings (clothing, books, videos, guns) have all been removed and stored in a proper archival environment. That's not "untouched." They've brought down many items to display. The office is one example. A number of the furnishings are exhibited in the trophy room. Again, not untouched. I never took Lisa literally on this topic. Great video, as always!

@ashleysadventures Ashley so grateful for your video, I love learning all about Elvis, especially his humanitarian and spiritual side. Elvis died when I was 5 and I fell in love with his music at about that age. My fond memories were listening to his 8 tracks and dancing to his music on top of the bed, we didn't have a lot of money growing up as we were a family 8 and I was the middle child so didn't get much attention from anyone, lol, however he was my entertainment and those childhood days were the happiest for me. My two wishes were always to have been old enough to 1) to see him in concert and 2) dance with him ❤️ thank you for all your research and may God continue blessing you to share his legacy

I thought they filmed an elvis movie upstairs way back as purcilla didn't want it released as it showed Elvis's bedroom and part of bath room . They said there was a cup sitting on some furniture but no telling who's it was since there was a filming crew in his room so doubt some parts are untouched. There was red carpet on the stairs as it is now all different they should have left it there to preserve the originality of the home when Elvis lived there. Hard to believe he has been gone longer than he lived no telling how far his career could have gone if he survived at least another 20 yrs.

I have to say this video is awesome! I used to be an Elvis fanatic, I still am! I’ve been to Graceland twice in my life with my Mom. I loved it ❤ I’ve gotten back into seeing Graceland again after Lisa Marie’s sudden passing. I still cannot believe it. She and I are 18 months apart. I love her as much as I love her Dad. ❤ I found your video and others so good and informative. I definitely want to go back to Graceland a third time. I used to have that Rolling Stone Cover Magazine of Lisa Marie in 2003. I’ve never seen Lisa Marie’s room and her bed. I was happy to see that. Wow. I had to go back rewind to the kitchen back in 60s with Priscilla and her family and how it looks now. I enjoyed seeing that too. More info about the jungle room I did not know? Where did you find the book Inside Graceland? Are there pictures also? Thanks for sharing this. Subbed!

It’s not the same though. Didn’t they have a webcam from Elvis’s bedroom at one point? That would have required cable and setting up a camera. Also some things from his bedroom have been on display. So how can it possibly be untouched? When he died Priscilla personally went through the bedroom and took away any “salacious” photos and videos etc. It’s in a fairly original state, but it’s not untouched

There's three rooms upstairs. Elvis's bedroom, his office and Lisa's bedroom. There's also a powder room that Elvis had for Priscilla then Linda.

There was technically 4: Elvis’s, Lisa’s, Elvis’s office and the room on the left when facing the house the bodyguards used to sleep over. Elvis knocked down the wall that separated it from his master bathroom

I don’t know if anyone else thinks that it is strange that even Lisa Marie’s room has not been changed. You know like things that she would have taken from there. Also, Ashley do you know if the upstairs are regularly cleaned and if so, by whom would they trust to do the housecleaning up there?

@@ashleysadventures I wonder if maybe she meant that he had movies on film. I don't even know if that was a thing, but I know of at least one rich celebrity from back then, I can't remember the guy's name, who used to have private film screenings in his home theater. I'm surprised Elvis didn't get a small private theater at Graceland so he wouldn't have to go out to see movies.

The layout is so confusing. I think its referring to at one time but not today: Elvis’s, Lisa’s, Elvis’s office, bodyguard bedroom next to master bath, Gladys’s, the bird room next to the jungle room, the maid’s bedroom off the kitchen and the converted garage apartment

@@ashleysadventures Plus weren't there 2 bedrooms downstairs in the basement? Where Charlie Hodge had 1 and I want to say Jerry Schilling had 1? And you're right, Elvis' office was technically a bedroom at one time. And the bodygaurd room which was added to Elvis' room as his dressing room or dressing area was a bedroom. The 8 bedrooms thing always confused me too.
