Thank you so much for including seaplanes. You guys did a great job with your presentation and informative history. Please continue with many more seaplanes, especially the often overlooked earlier models. You have a niche that really needs to be filled. Best wishes for your Channel.

Why didn't I think of this before?! Electric motors are great for cruising, it's getting up high enough that's a pain in the butt. I bet you could get a really big electric aircraft really high up with a combination of rockets and ramjets. Then separate and the motors come back to do it again. It's not like you're trying to get to orbit so the booster stage could be made rather robust, and highly reusable, just fuel, attach a payload and go.

An Helium balloon or an airship could do perhaps the same task without adverse environmental concerns ?

Thank you ! Thank you sir ❗ -For showing these amazing clips from Reykjavík, Iceland. The Northrop N-3PB was actually the fastest floatplane in the world when it "came out", but (like you said), the Nazis invaded Norway🇳🇴 (my other home country, so to speak). -Fortunately, the N-3PB -s escaped that fate. -They were delivered to the Norwegians who had escaped to Iceland 🇮🇸 and did sterling service in the Battle of the Atlantic. (Capturing one German submarine and attacking several others) ! All my best, Karl Trausti from 🇮🇸

8:54 I’m pretty certain that the riveter in the middle of the screen, standing on the ground, dark overalls, was my grandmother, Joan Webster, who was a rivet inspector building Short Sunderland flying boats diurnal WWII.
