Beautiful pad. You're very well spoken my dude! I'm sorry if I missed it, but what other glass pads are you rating this one over? Were you also able to get rid of those air pockets with a pin?

The air pockets come out with ease after making a small pin hole some small creasing is left over but nothing I could feel once it was on the desk. As far as other glass pads I don’t have a lot to compare to unfortunately I’ve only owned a cerapad from tj exclusives a superglide from pulsar and a Skpad. Typically I avoid glass pads as they are generally faster than I’m comfortable on, especially the superglide I got it when they first released and hated it kinda wrote glass pads off for a long time after that unfortunately. That said I’d say that speaks to how good the empress is given the fact someone who doesn’t even usually like glass pads is genuinely enjoying it. Actually I’m so happy with the empress it rekindled my interest in glass pads and am looking at getting more now in order to establish a better baseline. This pad definitely wins out against the other pads I’ve owned I’m not sure how to explain it, it just somehow feels like you’re in control even though it’s still very fast and get better feedback from it than the few others I’ve owned in the past. I did also like the cerapad but it just didn’t seems to hold up to heavy use the coating they used tends to chip, I’ve noticed others mentioning there’s did the same. I’ll be curious to see how the texture on the empress holds up over time, I’m not sure how they did it whether it’s a coating or some sort of sanding process but it feels very nice I’m hoping it stands up to heavy use. Padsmith did a great job here in my opinion. It’s unfortunate the base had the QC issues but it’s a fairly easy fix so at $60 I’d say it’s a worthy investment.

@@MeerTech_actual glad to see you are enjoying this glass pad! I've seen some people complain about the chipping in the kin as well, but was yours a version 1 or a newer 2? I'm actually getting mine in this weekend sometime so I'll be checking out their latest version of the kin. And if those bubbles are easily removed with just a pin prick, that was most definitely a bargain! Stoked for you man.
