WOW....this is SO CRAZY!! I just had a VERY LOUD AWAKENING about a week ago with this VERY WARNING. I literally was sleeping, and around 2am a VERY LOUD VOICE woke me up from a deep sleep, and said " Any music that does not give glory to God, is UNWORTHY ". I literally heard this as loud as someone would talk in a crowded place...I'm NOT KIDDING. And as soon as I heard it, I was about to ask...but what about??????? and I fell back to sleep. The very next morning, when I woke up, I went through all my music and DELETED everything that was NOT WORSHIPING OR GIVING GLORY TO GOD.

Oh I believe you!! We have to be so grateful to God for His patience toward us; and for His mercy and grace (undeserved favour), as He should’ve turned His back on us… Thank you Jesus for paying the penalty for our sin! Music to me was seductive, and like a drug that I couldn’t get enough of… Just recently I was lured into a trap by a group that had the most seductive demonic music, and it was so difficult to turn away from. I downloaded every single album they had ever made, onto my phone, and I was so guilty! I deleted them all when my conscience couldn’t deal with it anymore. But a few days later, downloaded a stack of their music back to my phone… It was such a battle, but no matter how difficult the fight, I know we can overcome, because Jesus overcame all things and never sinned… We are Gods children, and must stay away from the oppression that comes from being in the devils playground. I stopped listening to worldly music and all of hollywood movies ( Christian movies and music only) a few years ago. It has changed me so much. I can keep my mind on Jesus more easily. I may hear the start of a song I use to like and feel a rebellion trying to take over. I’m so grateful to the Lord that He is more than enough joy I don’t need anything from this world for temporary excitement! Listening to the music that uplifts Christ changes the heart too. Your relationship with Jesus will get closer just by avoiding worldly music and movies.

Just this morning here in Saudi, I felt that my heart was heavy, I don't feel to worship God but I still chose to and yes it made my day really great when I started to sing a song for the Lord Jesus, the lyrics goes like ths... Me too ❤ At least we don’t struggle alone. El Shaddai is with us always and I’m trying as hard as I can alongside you. We can’t be perfect, but we can try out best. I think of the little drummer boy often when I get down on myself because of my failings. They never said the little boy was a perfect master musician. Just a boy trying his best to be pleasing to the King of Kings and THAT is what the Almighty wants I think, honest focused effort and I believe that’s why he loves us so much. Hymns are good very good. But God is speaking even today, even today God has given us prophecies and psalms we are to sing in song. There is a shortage of songs of praise and worship nowadays in churches because we are still singing just as I am I come. God has given us a sound like there was a sound everytime God was on the move. He is on the move even now for the last days revivals. He is on the move reviving His true and remaining remnant ours is to sing the prophecies God has given us. Hymns are good I like them but I find them too traditional. Holy holy is the Lord God Almighty who was and is and is to come. Those lyrics are far better than just as I am I come.

I'm an R&B artist and I recently have been convicted on what message I'm portraying in my music. As follower of Christ, I definitely feel the need to clean up my message in my music but i also feel as though we have to rely on God to reveal to us what he approves of and what's unacceptable. God is about love. So if we're singing about love, that love shouldn't be lustful. Whether its music or just our everyday life, whether or not we specifically say his name, people should be able to see Jesus in you.

Maybe the problem we have is calling every song a worship song. There are different types of songs for example, Spiritual warfare songs, Healing songs, Prophetic songs, Declaration songs, Testimony songs, Prayer songs, Victory songs etc. There is totally nothing wrong for me to sing a song saying I am a winner, i am a champion, my life is a testimony. It's just a matter of knowing how to classify the songs. By the way Worship is not only in song. Everything we do in Spirit and in truth is worship. Our action our thinking our service to God all this is part of worship. Never limit worship to songs and not every song is a worship song.

Just the fact the music can be made because of him and it is good, should be enough if that is in your heart. All worship and praise be to God Almighty! I thank God I bumbed into this wonderful message In this video. The previous night I bumped into a very unworthy dancehall song and it's lyrics were so ungodly and encouraging acts of darkness. The beat was ear catching that I couldn't sleep the whole night. I kept on repeating it the whole night for about 4-5 hours and it was so addictive and couldn't cut off. The whole day my heart and mind was singing the song and I could hear from inside the beat, the lyrics and wanted to watch it again. I returned on KZbin only to bump into this Godly message and I could discern that God was speaking to me through this video. All the Glory, praise and worship be unto the Lord God Almighty.

My current church is all over the I, me songs. I count how many times Jesus's name is in the song. Some of them mention his or God's name one time in the song, and the rest is talking about what God is doing for them. I thought I was alone in noticing this! I’m loving instrumental music more then ever. Could be my age but I love it played in the background. I love all styles of music as long as it’s God honoring. We are told to test all things and hold fast to what is good. Abstaining from all appearances of evil. When we are in step with the Lord, His Holy Spirit will guide us into all truth and convict us when we are choosing poorly. I do get frustrated with some of the songs my church chooses for worship. I wouldn’t leave my church for that reason but I make it known to the worship leaders when I see an issue with lyrics. Often times I change the lyrics while I’m singing! Singing Scripture is so powerful! If you’re being tempted by the enemy or feel oppressed, start singing and the sword of the Spirit will drive those evil spirits away! Hallelujah 🙏🏻❤️🗡️

I definitely agree about this that we need to be discerning of our worship music. It's meant to do one thing: Worship God in spirit and truth. I think it also needs to be said that not all Christian music is meant to be worship music and that's ok as well. I thank God for the ministries non-worship Christian artists are involved in, they are bringing truth to the nations! The problem comes when you say you're creating worship music but it's not actually worshipping God in spirit and truth. That is a dangerous thing.

I played in our church orchestra for 40 years and learned early on what kind of "worship" songs really led people to worship. The 2 songs (older ones) that seemed to bring every hand raised to the Lord were "Shout To The Lord" and "I Exalt Thee." These lift up the name of Jesus and focus on Him and not on us. I have been saying pretty much all of these thoughts in this video for many years as our church went through a dry period where loud noise replaced much of the annointing. The worship leaders would bounce around the "stage" and have crazy cheshire cat smiles plastered on their faces. This was to try and generate some emotional excitement for people to want to worship. The biggest thing was the lyrics were mostly about "I" "me" "my" etc. The church has gone full circle and now is focused back on God. I hear from someone in the know that this has been going on for several years now in many churches. Worship is what it is all about!

I've come to believe that just going to a concert whether it's Christian or secular and having people on a stage that everyone is focused upon feels secular regardless of what music is being played. I would want the band to be facing the same way as everyone else and mixed in with the group of believers, because it's a group effort to worship God in that manner. Not to focus on the artist or worship team.

I’m not Catholic but I’ve been to services in various Catholic Churches and always wondered why the singers and organ (or whatever instruments) were behind us in the balcony so as not to be the center of attention 🤔 Then again the Hebrews worshipped with the singers out front but facing forward not towards the people. Ya know so many people have mixed emotions about Hillsong, Bethel, Jesus Culture and so and so forth. I will say that in some of my most darkest valleys, that music pointed me to Christ and built a relationship built on His cornerstone. Everyone can receive the music a little different, but in the end we have to ask ourselves, "does it glorify Jesus or the artist?" I believe The Holy Spirit within us (those who have accepted Christ and are a new believer) will know right from wrong and can convict us and direct us. thank you for putting this up. i was given the music ministry By the Holy spirit and instructed to be wise in choosing which songs will be offered in worship to YAWAH, or Jesus. when I began to see hundreds of people gathering in church houses become almost in a trance, I knew right away that satan had entered into praise and worship songs and became popular . I was told by a baptist preacher to either get with the changing times or get out of the worship ministry . listening to the words of some of the most popular praise and worship of today, they do not address Yawah , or Yeshua . they sing to a universal god. and I truly believe that all who take part will accept the one world religion and the false Christ.

mitchelltj1 I am guilty too…. As a small child (with no real knowledge of God) I was seduced by rock music after listening to the very first song (from my generation). I craved it, as if it were a drug… That obsession became heavier as I got older… After I was saved at 27 yrs of age, I acknowledged that this music was really bad for my soul, and threw out thousands of dollars of vinyls and CD’s, bar a few country albums that were my ex husbands… But a few years later, I started to crave certain types of music, so in heavy guilt I bought a few CD’s and music video’s. I felt so convicted that I had to hide them, even from my husband, who couldn’t have cared less about what I listened to… Not long after that, I threw them all into the rubbish… But one day about 4 months ago, a band that I was unfamiliar with, came up on my KZbin page, and I went straight to it. Within a few days I had purchased every single album this group had made, and they were on my phone… The lyrics were clearly mocking Jesus, and were demonic. I tried my hardest not to listen to this music, but the seduction was powerful… The first time I listened to this group, my heart was pounding so hard in my chest , that I thought my heart was going to explode and expire. Unbeknown to me at the time, this was a warning from the Holy Spirit. In the end, I had to repent of this sin, and turn my back on all of it. I deleted every album off my phone reluctantly, but had to! I remembered the scripture about, if your eye makes you sin, then pluck it out! I was at that place, where I realised that it doesn’t matter if you go into heaven without an eye, for at least I’d get there. But the other way could lead me to hell… Music is so powerful whether Christian music or secular, and we need to keep check on what’s going on in our hearts when we listen to any music. It can be an open door for the devil to come in and oppress us, and we do not want that in our lives. He comes only but to kill, steal and destroy, and began to destroy me… Jesus is everything to me, and I’m not risking my eternity for the pleasures of sin. I thank God for His continual mercy and grace toward us, even when we sin. But I do not want to continue to sin because of Gods Grace. Our hearts are quick to deceive us, so we must be sober minded at all times and vigilant… God bless 🙏
