Thanks for this... PmPC is one of the very first apps I have been putting onto friends and family PCs for several years now. The scheduled updates in the background are a lifesaver, and probably prevent me getting even more 'tech buddy' phone calls!

Definitely an upvote for a portable version going forward. My home PC is multi-boot, and having to install the program three times rather than just having a single executable in a central location makes life easier.

everything in my 40yr old bones has been conditioned to stay away from apps like this that claim to be an all in one updater etc lol I've installed it tho and seems to be legit so far..

Patch My PC Enterprise version has a good reputation in the IT community. We looked at getting it at my job (post-secondary education). The only reason we didn't is because so much of our software is niche and not in their database. We'd be only updating maybe 8 pieces of software, and for that price we couldn't justify it. But I really wish we could've. We use one of their other products extensively (PowerShell Application Deployment Toolkit - PSADT).
