I have the same engine ! E90 2010 LCI 320D with 200k km and its still running great !!! Awesome engine

31:36 Very old video. You can clearly see the old N47 first generation engine from pre 2010 models. My N47 has nearly 400 000km and the timming chain was replaced at 250k. So put stories about reliability of this engine between fairy tales. The problem is not the engine, but the user who believes in Long Life oils and servicing every 30-40 thousand kilometers.

Sehr gutes video. Das sage ich als langer Mercedes Mitarbeiter. BMW baut auch ganz gute Motoren. Aber hätte die KZbin Werbung nicht noch mehr sein können??? Alter Schwede alle 3 Minuten Werbung

For each replacement of the timing chain, you will have to remove the engine because BMW engineers designed it at the back of the engine. I wonder who will pay for it. 👏👏👏

Not necessarily,you can remove chain without taking the engine out,all you need is to drop the transmission.

The problem is not that the chain is at the back, the problem is that it will start rattling at 100k miles because of intentionally bad design

Colocar el mando de la distribución entre el motor y la caja de cambios...es algo difícilmente justificable. Los alemanes ya no hacen motores como los de antes...potentes y mucho más fiables.
