@@parvinkukar1259 20% is the norm mate unless you are doing crash repairs yourself. Then out of that 20% you need to pay the VAT man, Probably over paid slightly for Dacia we be £200 to £300 in costs (warranty, couple tyres, adverts) so profit may only be £600 after VAT.

After watching a few of your vlogs I'm thinking you love the challenge of fixing up cheap cars rather than making cash? I know a guy who does similar and he is proud to provide employment for a young mechanic and a valet/detailer whilst flipping at the bottom end of the market. A more successful dealer I know buys trade-ins from main dealers on a '7-day return' basis. He has time to check for expensive problems, e.g. CPU faults before advertising them. He always says there's thousands of parts that can go worng on a vehicle and the older it gets the more likely a fault. He won't touch cheaper cars because customers don't understand this, or won't accept it. A neighbour of mine is handy with spray cans and gets the odd accident damged car from Copart. He specialises in VW repairs since he can acquire all the panels he needs from Eastern Europe. After watching this video and some of your respray vlogs I wonder if you would do great concentrating on car body repairs as your main business and selling one or two cars on the side? All the best in your endevours.
@ChopsGarage3 жыл бұрын
Hi Pete. No paintwork for customers does not appeal. The stress of matching paints, nailing shaping with fillers, no thanks. But I do enjoy the process of turning round cars you are right. This is why I have written off just having a forecourt and sitting at a desk in a polo shirt
