UP CLOSE: 1932 Ford V8 Hot Rod - McGee Roadster

The 1932 Ford V-8 Roadster built by Bob McGee a.k.a. the “McGee Roadster” is the quintessential deuce coupe that set the trend for hot rodding styles in the 1940s-50s. Although its "hot rod" origins were once vilified by the public, the McGee Roadster eventually became the face of a new safety movement for car customizers, rose to stardom through its use in movies and TV shows, and even a Salt Flats speed record holder.
Even as new hot rodding style emerged throughout the decades, the McGee Roadster's iconic status remained. In 2017, this incredible roadster became the 16th car to be added to the National Historic Vehicle Register where it will be added to the United States Library of Congress' permanent records to be kept in perpetuity and to teach future generations about the cultural impact of the the hot rod on American culture.

I suppose seating room dictated the move of the gear shift to the column. Awesome and iconic car.
