Thanks for this posting. I'm a Magnum driver. I've been with Magnum for 3 years. I feel like I'm sitting in the best seat in the industry.

Great to hear! I've heard a lot of good things about them.

What do they start you out at cpm wise?
@artist4truth4 жыл бұрын
@@sweetness2689 depends on exp. New cdl holder 38 cpm +8cpm incentive pay = 46cpm. You get a 2 cpm raise every 2 months for the first year.

@@artist4truth I have 1 year and 3 months experience, and was considering magnum. The only drawback I'm guessing is that with reefer freight your sleep schedule is always different

Nice quality Video Craig. If you have any questions about Magnum, let me know. I've been with them since 1982. That is a 2016 truck, the numbering system we have for tractors indicates the model year of tractor, and the next numbers, are sequential for the trucks acquired that year, so this truck - 1666, is the 66th tractor we put in service for the 2016 model year. Trailer number is a code too, 1 = Reefer Trailer, 16 = Model year, 3 = 53 foot, 025 = 25th Trailer of this design and model year, all put together 1163025. Gadberry Inc was the original company name from 1977 to 1984. Magnum LTD was formed by 3 business partners to acquire a transportation contract. After 1984 the contract was over and the 3 business owners went their separate ways, with one of them retaining the Magnum LTD name. We do have a few Freightliners on the road as well, but the majority are Peterbilts. Long ago, I used to drive truck #1 - A 1978 green on silver Freightliner conventional.

Would you know if they hire recent grads out of south Tx.? I Was looking at Freymiller and Prime. Was also considering SRT, but after reading a majority of horror stories I think ill pass on SRT. Came across Magnum ltd by way of trucking report. Any info is appreciated. Thanks and be safe.

Brian, I would call them! I don't know for sure, but I will say that when I went back and got my cdl and back into trucking, Magnum was one of the two companies I was going with up until the last minute. I ended up at Maverick, but have no doubt I would have done just as well at Magnum.

@@brianobrian9334 we do have several drivers that live in South Texas. You can fill out an online app at magnumlog.com. If hired, drivers without experience would be placed with a trainer. Submit the app and Tony will be in touch.

And this vid was posted....why? Just another ugly-assed Peterbilt that looks like every other run-of-the-mill truck you see today. Granted, I'm an old fart that loves Peterbilts when they were real trucks, not these disposable plastic squeaky throw-away models that fit the majority of the two-legged critters that occupy the seats. Please give me a notification only when it is something worthwhile looking at. If it's newer, a badass 389 with a cab-high sleeper. Maybe....maybe a KW W900L. Anything less, just let me go back to sleep.
