Told some people talking about listening to RE save room music on the RE reddit about you the other day. Hope I netted you a few more subs. Always bittersweet when I tell people about you. On one half, I want to gatekeep you as a deep dark musical secret, and on the other half, I've never listened to an artist I've wanted to support more.

Thank you so much. And I think there is no need to worry. No matter how much you support me by spreading the word, this place will never become a crowded one - thankfully, as there is not much space in a save room anyway, right?

Bloody hell, this stunning gem has really plucked on some deep heartstrings bud. The chords you've really strum with this piece of music puts my heart and mind in a state where I miss the super gentle, warm and soft touches of both a friend and a lover, and makes me want to do all the wonderful intimate things, even before thinking about sex. Just the cuddling and holding, one heart to another. I'd gladly try such things with someone new, but the main trouble is, I'm still having dreams about my past love FFS. I feel like Uriel Septim, in that I'm not the ruler of my own dreams. I'd love to turn them off if I knew that's what they'd be, because although those dreams are truly gorgeous and feel real, they're not. And when I awaken, back to reality, it f*ckin' hurts, even after all this time... I keep myself as meaningfully busy as I can during the day, so that my mind's in a good flow and state of mind in general, but when it's time to sleep, I've even resorted to speaking out loud to my subconscious "Right, no dreams about the angel tonight. Please!" 😑 To no avail though. It's like my subconscious misses her. What the hell do you want me to do about it, subconscious?! 😅🤔🤨
@SurvivalSpheres Жыл бұрын
Who am I to give an answer? Maybe, just maybe, the key could be to stop trying to push away those dreams, but instead embrace them for what they are, holding tight that part of you. And then, eventually, when you loosen your grip and gradually open your arms, a breeze might let them drift away gently. Because then - and only then - ‚goodbye’ has been said.
@Johny40Se7en Жыл бұрын
@@SurvivalSpheres That's a lovely and thoughtful answer as usual, but I will say that I'm not trying to push away those dreams, just the pain that's inflict on me afterwards when I come round to the present. The memories of my past love are pure treasures, but I don't need a reminder most nights or mornings that the present isn't anywhere near as sweet as that part of the past. And that latter part of gradually loosening up a bit and opening the arms to allow a gentle breeze to usher the aftermath shite away is delightful to say the least. Thanks buddy 🙂

@@Johny40Se7enOne day you have to tell me the full story❤
@Johny40Se7en Жыл бұрын
@@SurvivalSpheres I'd rather spare you from the depths of that history, it's tragic. In a way that, you know when I've listened to many pieces of music - including a few of yours - it makes me think that a LOT of things in this timeline are well and truly FUBAR. And no matter what I imagined trying to do to improve such things, so that they could be more in line with the way things were in the past before my past self f*cked things up, it just felt like it would a colossal waste of time. Those feelings sapped any motivation for it. I know now that nothing I do or say in the present can ever change such things. There's a wall of distrust up that nothing of mine could ever get through. It's ultimately why I stopped pursuing. That, and the fact that I wanted more than a simple friendship with her. Would have absolutely loved something even similar to how it was before, but for a while I didn't see that it couldn't ever happen like that again. Distrust would always be looming, you know. Any growth in the area surrounding trust would always be hindered. It's just how it goes sometimes....

At 3:02 the melody dies and a new sound kicks in. It reminds me of something from long ago. I will be thinking about this for a long time. If I remember I’ll comment here
@CrazyKoenie Жыл бұрын
Ok maybe not that long. I already found it. It’s from a 23 minute long song of Mogwai. The song is titled “music for a forgotten future (the singing mountain). The exact part I’m talking about is at 12:21 in that song. Do you hear what I mean? Same vibe
@SurvivalSpheres Жыл бұрын
@@CrazyKoenieJust gave it a listen, as I’m not familiar with Mogwai. I THINK I understand somewhat, but also got a feeling that what you mean is also about association, not only about sound. No matter what, your sense of music is obviously complex, otherwise you wouldn’t perceive such things. Do you make music yourself?
@CrazyKoenie Жыл бұрын
@@SurvivalSpheres oh yes it’s definitely about association. I look for an emotional response, a mood, atmosphere. Either soothing, unnerving, relaxing, … I listen more to music than lyrics. That’s why I’m drawn more to post rock, soundtracks, ambient, classical music even. Although I tend to balance that out with obscure metal music ;-) I’m a drummer and I sing in a choir but I don’t make my own music. Yet
