It's taken me a day to get around to watching this. Though it's great having news on developments as they happen, these rundowns are fantastic. You cover indi to more mainstream, traditional to quirky. Though there are some interesting games like Manor Lords and Tempest Rising, the one I am most stoked for is Homeworld 3. When I have time to myself I am swapping my time between Xenonaughts 2 (after a large update) and Sapce Haven. Have an amazing Christmas and a great new year.

​I did play Sins of a Solar Empire 2 this week, as they added new Vasari faction, the one able to function as mobile empire without planets. Its my fav game and fav faction in all of RTS games! BTW check the new model for Vasari starbase, it looks absolutely stunning. Aside of that, i randomly played BAR for the first time yesteday. And for sure keeping tabs on some of those games from your vid, Homeworld 3 especially, but there is more of them that look intriguing. Anyway, Happy Christmas!

Zero spac looks like the true starcraft successor! Storm gate look too cartoonish and rough. Tempest rising also look promising! More of a command and conquer vibe.

As someone on Sins of a Solar Empire's main Discord, I can confirm from the devs that Sins of a Solar Empire 2 will not have a campaign. That was a question that was asked on their Q&A forums section of the server and the Project Lead replied by saying no, in the basic translation I can give you. One thing I can also confirm is that the art styles for the Advent and Vasari in Sins 2, unlike Sins: Rebellion, will have fully fleshed out and consistent art styles. What the Advent's style will look like, I'm genuinely curious.

Ah that is unfortunate. I really hoped they would find the time and money to invest in a proper campaign this time around. But thanks for sharing your info with us. What is your favorite faction?

@@perafilozof It wasn't so much time and money that was their concern, it was mainly that the nature of the game was solely focused on the single player and multiplayer aspect of the game, as well as their overall gameplay they were more focused on, by my understanding. As for my favorite faction, I always will play as Vasari; I loved the Loyalist faction in Rebellion with their ability to essentially deny planetary assets to the other factions. I'm really curious to see how the Loyalist faction in Sins 2 will play out once the game is fully fleshed out and released, as the Rebels are the only faction currently available. As a side note, I'm genuinely picky about the designs for the Skirantra Carrier and their Heavy Cruiser; the Skirantra has had a major design overhaul that personally, I'm not a fan of. And the Heavy Cruiser looks more like a child of Cthulu. Beyond those 2 changes, I'm quite impressed with how the game is looking thus far. I was hoping the Skarovas would remain in the game, as it was the best heavy-hitter in the first game.

Tempest rising is a sure buy for me. Space gears and Grimstar, those Im curious about, they seem to being something new to the table. I grew up with classic rts ( C&C, Starcrafts, warcraft, AoE,WH40KDoW, etc) but I can only take so many wannabe clones.

Honeslty glad your Chanel exists. Im 23 years old and I did play on the original Xbox at age 5 but most of my memories come from playing rts games on my uncles computer. Games like starcraft, age of empires, Dune (the one like red alert), Cuban missed crisis (it sucked lol, and some other titled I can't remember. As I got older I still had rts as my core gaming. When SC2 came out my bro and I bought it immediately. We then found out about CoH and Men of War and played those too. Sorry for rambling a bit, I'll get to the point. The best part about this upcoming games is that developers are taking diferent approaches;from classic rts to space,survival and some nice ideas about army customitazion,it seems that will be all kinds of styles for players disposal.A problem of most rts around 2014-2021 was that most of them tried to be the next kinda Blizzard-hit,although also were interesting and modern ideas like Northgard,Spellforce 3 did pretty well and Warparty(The topic of cavemen,and dinosaurs was great to me).

Dying Breed,i truly like the homage to the concepts of Tiberian Dawn and i also am keen on Liquidation for its ambientation of scifi-fantasy and its mechanics of brain over brawl that remind me a little to Battle Realms and DoW.

There are some I'm interested in. The one I'm mostly interested in is Tempest Rising. It can fill my C&C heart. But heart call for Command and Conquer Generals, you might be surprise how quickly I would buy a Command and Conquer Generals Remaster and / or sequel if that happens. If EA get their head out of the dirt of greed. Their missing the point of Command and Conquer Remaster game.

The steam page description seems maybe a bit too good to be true. First time I see that one on any list TBH. I won't lie, for a supposed Starcraft successor, Stormgate looks kind of mediocre. Zero Space looks like it might become the actual successor.

I agree..stormgate demo on steam was terrible...zero space does look like the better game but no telling until we play both...Honestly Im fine with Starcraft 2 as itll prob be better than both of these anyways..

Most of these games are childish in terms of their quality. COH 3 was hoped to take RTS to the next level. It didn't. We need big graphically realistic RTS games.

Harsh! Not too far from the truth, but still too harsh. Games are an iterative medium. Like movies. Rare are ones that do something totally new and they fail 99% of times as people prefer to play/watch what they are familiar with.
