Update 11/17/21 - Liberty Visual is now in Early Access, and released a new trailer! kzbin.info/www/bejne/kIm8dX-va66Am7M There's a new, somewhat more up-to-date video regarding these mods, plus 2 more, you can check it out here, created by Supreme Dear Leader: kzbin.info/www/bejne/omW7ZHqQr7SLiZo Shortly after finishing this video, DayL messaged me and told me he'd send me a fix for the shiny trees in the distance (I personally didn't notice it at all) nevertheless, here's a comparison for with and without the fix, on 1040 with revIVe & iCEnhancer 3.0 Natural: cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/734888920046764105/824738825767092234/trees.png I still don't really see a difference besides a little bit more clarity after, on the trunks (the times between these pictures maybe 1 or so minutes off (in-game) which is very little but necessary as freezing the time with ENB results in a very bright HDR) so if anyone knows how to get a better comparison, let me know and I'll update the link. Also, while revIVe claims to be improving performance, I myself have no clue how this is gonna be done, maybe one of the methods (shown in the video) is how, perhaps it's not going to be done yet? I've got no idea, that's why I didn't talk about it.

I'm glad modders are getting resources to continue modding old games, but at the same time I feel the Golden age of modding died once everyone put their mods behind paywalls.

It's only behind a paywall while it's in early access; developing such an ambitious mod such as RevIVe takes TONS of time & effort. Getting money for what you do gives more reason to actually do it

I stuck Vanilla GTA IV but with Nvidia Control panel DSR to run it in 5k with 8x AA super sampling, looks great. Will be cool to add Revive and 4.0 in.

There's the mod you might try it's called add on pack iv by gaming with sg it works to add eflc peds to iv you well like it. :)

@1:15 do you know what file is responsible for those lights? I want to use Revive without ENB and keep the default lights. Edit: Nevermind found it! For anyone wondering it's one of the textures inside: pc\data\maps\props oadside\lamppost.img Not sure which one though.

@@AG-zw4of It's only one person, and the goal on Patreon is 11%, so he can't work on it as a job yet. The main reason I made this video is so his Patreon gets more attention. I highly doubt it'll be discontinued. The discord is also exceptionally active. edit: also editing meshes and other technical stuff that I don't know much about takes awhile, not to mention the last month or so BisonSales (creator of revIVe) has been in the process of moving (or selling their house, not entirely sure)

@@catsmackaroo Being in the same situation of Bison, I can confirm that it's a long process. It cam take anywhere from two months to two years, so I wouldn't expect him to get back to work all of a sudden

RevIVe? I forgot to include the current installation as well as how well it works with stuff, so I'll tell you here. It'll be compatible with all patches as it's just texture changes so far. In the future this will most likely change, they said they will be improving performance and I assume this will include shaders, which if you don't know, shaders are different between 1040 & 1070, so whichever patch they work on will be the supported version, at least at first. I also don't know which patch to expect in terms of priority, most ENBs only work on 1040 (I believe because of its shaders) so they might focus on that, but they also might do 1070 as 1040 cannot have DLCs included due to it being released before the DLCs were released.

@@catsmackaroo maybe they figure out how to put 1.0.4.0 shaders and shadows to dlcs and newer patches? Im playing dlcs now, but i hate how rockstar messed up 1.0.7.0 and eflc, shadow rendering distance is poor and dont fit the games atmosphere,some missing effects too. Enbs not work well on newer patches even in 2021, nights much darker with enb than on 1040.

What is performance like, does it run 60fps without dxvk ?

My computer is inconsistent, so I didn't check my performance as I didn't want to misinform people with revIVe. But around the area where the first comparison is made DID run a lot better, roughly 60 FPS with no drops (on my video it did because OBS is meh), but I didn't check FPS numbers exactly. Wouldn't judge, either way, I highly doubt performance is the direct focus right now.

It's simply DayL's Natural Timecyc! That mod should take 0 fps away from your vanilla game. At most, 2-3 FPS due to "draw distance" increases... even then, I doubt it's that much.

I've got no clue. Did you downgrade, what version are you on... there are too many things to ask. I barely mess with ENBs as is. It just seems like ENBs just randomly don't work for people as well.

as to me revive sucks af, for real. Some people (reference to mod authors) are just not created to have a sense of art. They're just not able to produce anything good in terms of art.
