Just an FYI for you if you mix some of the stain u are going to use in with your wood putty before u apply it it will help blend it in to the piece better when you apply the stain to your top.

What do you do about odor of the older furniture?
@TheReclaimedHeirloom4 жыл бұрын
Hi Milissa! I usually clean the furniture piece with TSP cleaner. If it still has an smell, I will use bullseye primer or clear coat sealer. This product also has a odor remover as well that helps. But using the bullseye will remove the smell from the wood. You have to paint or spray the throughly inside the piece as well as backs of drawers and underneath etc. it’s a pain but worth it in the long run. If you look at my amazon link in the video description you will be able to see the product and purchase or go to your local home improvement store. ❤️🙏🎨

It looks like the wood filler is still visible? What can you do to hide it better?🤩
@TheReclaimedHeirloom4 жыл бұрын
Hi Diane, if you like you can apply more stain over the wood filler to match up the rest of the table top, I sometime like the vintage look so just leave for a weathered look. you can also apply a darker stain like Ebony to help to hide it. Thanks for watching and supporting my channel by subscribing. 🎨❤️🙏

Beautiful Christina! I'm loving transfers more each week♡ I really like how you got a completely different look just by adding the red, love that fabulous warm glow. Out of curiosity. . Is it possible to place a transfer on top of the gel stain? As always thank you for sharing your talent 🥰
@TheReclaimedHeirloom4 жыл бұрын
Nikki Lloyd ... I am always so grateful and thankful for your thoughtful words and comment Nikki 🙏💙 Yes you can put a transfer on top of gel stain finish, any top coat sealers would be placed last 🤗💙 They would look gorgeous against wood stain tones 👍🏻

Absolutely stunning Christina. I wonder where your inspiration comes from. I am a huge fan. I’m trying to achieve similar results but here in the U.K. I can’t seem to find certain products you use. Ie glaze. It’s imported from USA and the postage is expensive. I will keep looking. ☺️
@TheReclaimedHeirloom4 жыл бұрын
Restored and Happy ... thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful comment 🙏💙 I agree about the international shipping, maybe call or email some paint shops in your area or near by , ships that carry wall paint should have clear glaze! 😉💙 Other specially art shops should also carry clear glaze 👍🏻🎨 you just want water base in any brand 😉
