Upcycled Gifts- easy DIYs with tie dye!

It's CRAFTY SEASON, PEOPLE!!!!! :) Time to bring out all your crafty magic and create holiday gifts for you and your peeps! Around here, we love a good upcycle project and jump at the chance to turn something basic and/or boring into something bright and personalized! If "bright" and "personalized" describe the gifts you like to give (and receive) than this project for you! In today's video, I will be upcycling basic clothing and accessories that I got inexpensively from my local big box stores. Of course, these pieces need some DIY love, which is where lots and lots of Rit dye comes in! You guessed it- we're going to tie dye these babieeees! :) Flannel shirts, beanies, baby onesies, socks- they all deserve to be customized into one-of-a-kinds! On the dip dyes, I think it would be cool to wet the item above the line a bit so the color could bleed up and fade out more organically instead of the abrupt line. Also for the purple onesie a quick dip after it was untied or some added water to the dye to fill in the white with a lighter shade of the same color. It could also be cool to play with over dyeing like you did with the pink but with the same color to get different shades and shapes. So many fun ways to experiment! I really like the dip dye shirt!

Ooh such good tips!! :) Totally agree with needing to get those dip dye items wet. And, wish I had tried that with the onesie! Would have been cute and would have saved me an extra dye job. :) Will add these to my tye-dye-tool-box!
